Our 3rd release in conjunction with Synapse Films is that of SUSPIRIA. This edition’s quality is beyond words, but if you want an explanation you have plenty of that to be found below! Completely packed, crazily restored, and the ultimate definitive edition of SUSPIRIA in SteelBook form housed in HDN commissioned artwork from some of the best recognizable and talented artists on the scene. Following up on their consistent designs from Tenebrae and Phenomena we have brought on QuiltFace Studios “QFS” and The Dark Inker once more and added Matt Ryan Tobin for his amazing take on SUSPIRIA.

Each Slipbox will be semi-gloss with special print finishes and each edition will feature three 4x6 screen printed artcards by one of the best screen print poster printers in the business. QFS and MRT will feature silver metallic ink and DI will feature red metallic as well. Each edition comes with a bonus limited challenge coin in which the Blood Red Regular is limited to 125 and the Argento Rosa (Pink Silver) is limited to 75. They are awarded at random with single edition orders and only the Platinum Packs guarantee you one of each coin.

Dario Argento's masterpiece of horror comes to home video from Synapse Films in an exclusive new 4K restoration from the original uncut, uncensored 35mm Italian camera negative and with the original 4.0 English surround sound, for the first time EVER! Painstakingly restored over the past three years, Synapse Films has created the ultimate special edition of SUSPIRIA with the supervision and approval of the film's Director of Photography, Luciano Tovoli, and loaded with a separate Blu-ray disc of amazing extras. SUSPIRIA is now presented in its original glory for its 40th Anniversary!

The set will include two Blu-rays + 1 CD. The film will be on its own Blu-ray disc, to maximize the quality for both picture and sound, with most extra features being on a separate Blu-ray. The set will be Region A locked. CD obviously not locked.

“Info below is very early, and final extras have not been finalized. We believe this item may sell quite a bit faster than our previous SteelBook releases, so we wanted those who were interested to be able to "lock-in" their pre-order now. We DO NOT yet have a final street date, but we fully expect the Limited Steelbook to be released before the end of the year for the 40th Anniversary. Our goal is to start shipping in mid-late November, but this is subject to change. As the extras and final specs come in, we will update the listing accordingly.”

SPECIAL FEATURES:

there may be anywhere from 5-10 Dark Inkers left but we will wait till after orders have practically all shipped before making sure final counts.

Why do our numbers get skewed by a little bit? Because over the course of past few months we have had people change their MRT or DI to QFS thus freeing up some stock that will be available at the VERY end or once our shipping process sees a true end of sight and better judgment can be made.
That's very nice to know, I'll try to be ready and waiting if/when they come available! :)

If you have an MRT and want to swap to QFS that is fine ... but what im saying is we wont mess with then trying to sell that extra MRT yet. We will just see what shakes out at the end and put whatever small stock of anything that is left up at that time. QFS has slightly more then the rest that I know for sure. 20? 30 left?

Will hdn ship early then release date like diabolik?
My fear came true. Shipping close to Xmas means high chance of long wait and loss likely.

I'm wondering the same thing. I do have two orders coming in one from Synapse and the other from HDN, my only concern is a damaged steelbook during transport to my mailbox.

Hello everyone, a quick update. I've spoken to the good folks at Synapse directly, as we have been since our 1st release with them. The announcement of a December 19 release date floating around was not approved by Synapse. This came from a third party who purchased units from them to re-sell on their own. The release date on their site is December 31, and they spent the weekend responding to customers themselves, over this unapproved statement. They, themselves are still waiting to hear when they will receive their units. If there are delays I am sure they will need adjust their release date as well.

Rest assured, if Synapse's posted release date remains, and the replicator sends us the Steelbooks before December 31, Wreck as always will be working as quickly as possible to complete our editions and ship them to you. As always it takes time to assemble 100's of them with as much as care as he uses for our releases. I've seen the slips and coins in hand, and we promise it won't disappoint. As always, we will post updates as they become known to us. Thanks to you all for your support and patience, ninjas-as always we appreciate it! :ninja:
@Wreck

I think it was obvious that this wont be out this year.
Since Synapse being quiet.
its nearly December and no release date.
I wont be surprised if they tell everyone its now Febuary.

Thanks for the update. I was always suspicious of that release date since Synapse would have posted that information first before anyone else. Since there hasn't been any delays (knock on wood) I'm going to guess that they'll ship the last week of December.

So they say orders start to ship next week.
Does HDN have a date yet when they will get the stock?
We then need to add another 2-3 weeks ontop of that for HDN to pack and ship.
So looking like end of January before HDN ships.
:(

Do you have a date for when you expect to get the steelbooks from synapse?

there is chance of later this week. But of course that doesn't mean they start shipping to consumers "later this week" .... but I don't mess around and get stuff out fast with my local team. So all in all .... good news.

Being this close to Christmas. I rather wait until after NYE to get this shipped as I dont want to end up getting it lost by mail man!
Unless of course HDN has spares in case this happens.
