I also suppose there might be a moratorium from Lightstorm on any T2 BluRay releases until the 3D remastered version has been released.

Nah...not my fan movie, but does Titanic still sink in the "new" 3D version? :rofl:

:rofl::hilarious:

Seriously, Titanic 3D demonstrates that, if put enough effort (and money) into it, a post converted 3D movie can be as good as (or even better than) a movie shot in real 3D.
And in case of Titanic, I think the 3D does give you additional experience to the 2D version, as it feels more like you were right there in the middle of the catastrophy. And from the additional depth you actually get a better feeling for the sheer size of the ship.

I don't know how T2 in 3D will turn out. But after Titanic, I know Cameron won't disappoint :thumbs:

I'd forgotten about this. I bought the Novamedia, which I preferred.

As this was announced over a year ago, and as Novamedia had no problems with their (visually similar) release, I don't believe for a minute this has anything to do with the 3D version, which we won't see until (sometime in) 2017.

Just another steelbook Film Arena wishes we wouldn't mention.

I was making a joke about George Lucas retroactively changing his own movies. James Cameron does not do that.
You mean like T2: Director's cut or The Abyss: Director's cut or Aliens: Special Edition, or Avatar: Extended Collector's Edition?!
No, Cameron never changes his cuts!:rofl:
(Btw - except for T2, the Director's Cuts are the better versions)

Did FA ever say when the Terminator Salvation FAC is supposed to released? They should get on that one first if they intend to complete the pentology...

TOTALLY Different. And I said retroactively. ;)

JC definitely has Directors Cuts of his movies, some of which which were trimmed for time at the request/demand of the studios. George Lucas changes movies YEARS after the theatrical releases in ways that affect characters, plot lines, etc. Han shooting first vs shooting second is a prime example. Ok thread derailment over. Sorry y'all!

Didn't you see the DC of Aliens? Because of kids watching the "Newt movie", JC changed all the MK2 Pulse Rifles into Walkie Talkies with CGI....;):LOL:

When is the 3D version of this film going to come out? Are they going to have it in the Theaters first?

This is going to be most likely my most anticipated 3D release of all time. I love this film.
