From PA Facebook :
We're excited to announce the official launch of Plain Archive's sub-brand Plain Selective.

Unlike Plain Archive, Plain Selective will focus on mainstream films of bigger scale and bigger budget as well as a wide variety of genres.

Plain Selective will include releases which the home video sales rights are owned by a different company. The making of these releases will not be controlled by us. Instead, Plain Selective releases are going to be a joint effort between Plain and a partner.

Please note that Plain's main focus will still be Plain Archive. Therefore, Plain Selective could see as little as one or two releases a year.

This official launch of Plain Selective is what you might call an experiment, one of our ways of dealing with the diminishing state of the Blu-ray market. Between Plain and our partners, we'll be taking appropriate measures on our human resources to ensure Plain Archive meets its future release schedule. In other words, Plain Selective will be our second priority, with random release patterns.

By working with Lotte Entertainment and Video Travel, Terminator Genisys (2015) is going to be released as a Steelbook this May.

We'll be posting detailed updates on Terminator Genisys Steelbook as soon as we get Paramount's approval.

Thank you.

We're aware that Terminator Genisys is already available as Steelbook in overseas market. Most of the copies are aimed at our Korean customers as the film hasn't been released in Blu-ray yet in Korea. We will sell some copies to our international customers, but please note that it will be very limited in quantity.

Terminator Genisys Steelbook Lenticular Sample Video (Approved by Paramount) : High quality conversion lens was used to execute a perfect transition effect. It's also high-resolution, allowing the image to stay sharp and minimize any blur.

i think it was mediocre. Sure it's garbage compared to T1 and T2 but it's not the worst sequel at all. only thing that bugs me is that this kind of Blockbuster release just doesn't fit to PA, if you look at there other releases it's all about Arthouse and niche titles. Terminator just looks out of place.

It's Plain Selective line not Plain Archive. It is purposefully for blockbuster films.

if you look at other Plain Selective releases you see there is not a single Action Blockbuster in it.

http://plainarchive.com/collections/plain-selective

but that was not an official line / sublabel before. nothing on these releases ever said that they were "PLAIN SELECTIVE" releases. plain selective will be a numbered series from now on for the more mainstream and blockbuster movies.

and still i wanted to complete the Plain Selective collection, if it's numbered or not. i wanted to get every plain archive release,.mainly because of there title choices but thats over now i gues.

I really want to get at least one version, however with OldBoy's pre-order set for mid August. I must keep saving my money since Plain is sure to bring something BIG :greedy::greedy:

Good luck to those going for this!

Oldboy's gonna be big, no doubt about it. How many years in the making now, 3-4? It's gonna be epic and expensive! :) Sorry for going a little OT.

As for this release, well I guess it depends on when the kids wake up tomorrow. If they're up early as usual and I got nothing better to do....pre-ordered maybe. We'll see;)

And @Apollon, I'm awaiting that #weak gif/pic/comment. :p:naughty:

I hope you're not saying Terminator Salvation was better than Mad Max Fury Road...that would be an atrocious comparison. I did enjoy Salvation though. I liked how it was set in the future and showed us the human's war against the machines. As opposed to T3 and T5 which just rehashed the plot of T2, in addition to T5 resetting the timeline and annulling the events of T1 and T2.

Of course you cannot directly compare both movies, but I was kind of dissappointed by Mad Max Fury Road after all the hype for it. I guess I have to give it another chance and watch it again...

I might be getting Lenticular Slipbox
Waiting to see the price

I have bills due next week and also other GB to pay end of July

If price is to high most likely will pass or if somehow still in stock a few weeks later might then decide

Lot of more important releases to purchase so it's not high priority at the moment
