Hope this is indeed the final artwork

As for the cool title treatment off the top of my head I only recall two others in the UK like that - MISERY with the typewriter keys . . . and INSIDE OUT:-

£7.99 sooner rather than later. Pretty bad. Old Taken photos with sweet tart lettering? Lazy, lazy, lazy.
Do you think they were pissed that the title wasn't 9 letters?!

4K UHD steelbook release might be only 1 Disc 4K UHD only as in not include the 2D Blu-ray (TBC)

2D Blu-ray steelbook available on it's own

So then, any guesses as to whether this will be happening more often?

When a movie isn't released to theatres in 3D, will they be getting separate 4K and regular blu-ray releases on disc? Or just for steelbooks? Or are there 4K only amaray releases already?

No more "future proofing" going for the 4K/2D. You'll have to make a choice more often? Or buy both separately?

Will there be less and less movies released to theatres in the 3D format?

Or is 3D in theatres going to stick around? But less 3D releases on disc? Or eventually none?

Is this a ploy to make everybody upgrade to 4K now? New 4K players, TV's and sound systems NOW!

Or is 4K really only a niche market and as soon as you upgrade *poof* 4K disappears?
Like Beta? Laserdisc? HDD?

Just thinking out loud.

OK moderators, please move this post to a more appropriate thread.

Is there a thread called trash? :D

This would be very strange, normal BR is usually included for the extras with the UHD containing only the movie. Possibly a triple layer disc, very few extras or a compromised file size/bitrate? I'm interested to see how this turns out.

This is what was posted on Steelbook Blu-ray Website
We’ve been told that, in a break from tradition, the 4K release will NOT include the Blu-ray disc. Given that 4K discs generally don’t include extra features, but rather leave them on the (usually) included Blu-ray, that may be something to take into account when choosing your edition. If that changes we’ll let you know!

@zavvi
Is this correct that the 4K UHD Steelbook will not include the Blu-ray disc and if yes is there any extras on the UHD Disc

That is correct. Just one disc for the 4K UHD SteelBook. No standard Blu-ray disc will be included in the 4K UHD SteelBook.

A look at the rest of this cool design ... Zero finish with metallic reflections to the title.

Insides - cool touch being inside art matching disc art (albeit in B&W - nicely fitting in with the rest of the design though):-

Not a fan of this artwork?
There's always Liam Neeson in action on the covers and inside the gloss steelbook from France.
