Dinosaur was pretty successful comercially. If films like Emperor and Treasure which flopped can make it Dinosaur can too, especially when other non classics have made it (Frankenweene etc)

Dinosaur is not part of the classics line, nor was too popular in UK, so it’s more of a niche title, thus, highly unlikely(sadly) we’d see a steelbook for it,

Though personally, I discount the god awful ‘Wild’ and count Dinosaur in the classic line up I follow for my Disney collection. I believe many other blu-ray collectors ignore the UK classic line also.

Yay!
Ordered from Zavvi.
Please let this be the 1st of more releases.
So many gaps to fill...

Your wish (and mine) is fulfilled. Goes live Saturday. Keep them coming!

I like how they did one Lenti for Lilo and Stitch, new release wise and have now stopped

I hope they get back on track and stop changing things up.

FINALLY, it's about s*dding time! Nice art too, though I expected them to use the blue metallic submarine style of then ltd edition DVD, that's screaming out to be a steelbook!

Now if they can please get to releasing:
* The Black Cauldron
* Basil the Great Mouse Detective
* Oliver and company
* Song of the South
* Enchanted
* Bolt
* Dinosaur
* Mars needs moms
* Chicken Little
* Beauty and the Beast and the Enchanted Christmas
* The Lion King II Simbas Pride
* The Haunted Mansion
* Tower of Terror
* Honey I shrunk the kids
* Honey I blew up the baby
* Return to Oz
* The Muppet Movie
* Confessions of a teenage drama queen
* Freaky Friday

Before anyone say it, yes yes I know song of the south isn't likely as Disney are too freaked by the past, but it's a movie of it's time and isn't supporting slavery, it's a reflection of the period. The film is a classic and deserves an all new transfer.

I've never even heard of that before? Did it get a uk release? Sometimes we don't get things release done here that the US gets, is it any good?

That was what we got in the UK instead of Dinosaur as our Disney Classic for that year.

So Atlantis will be #40 in Zavvi's Disney Collection. What are the numbers 36 to 39?

That numbering system has been abandoned. The steelbooks are now being numbered according to the official, complete list of Disney classics. In other words, Atlantis was the 40th film to be released by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Note how the recently-announced Meet the Robinsons steelbook is listed as #47 in Zavvi's Disney collection. Not because it will be the 47th steelbook in the collection but because it was the 47th film in Disney's 'classics' series. The official list of films differs between the UK and USA but since these are UK releases I assume they're going with the UK list (which, as mentioned above, inclues 'The Wild' at #46 instead of 'Dinosaur').

there was also a shifting of some numbers,

from external site -
'''Dinosaur didn't do so well in the UK and so was left off the UK canon list. From there until number 47, the UK canon and US canon are out of sync. The Wild at 46 in the UK canon fixes that as it is missed off the US list, as it was only distributed by Disney (I think). From then until 51 both lists are the same once again. Then, the US canon includes Winnie the Pooh (2011) at 51, while the UK canon skips it. Therefore, we have Wreck-It Ralph at 51 and Frozen at 52, while the US have them at 52 and 53 respectively.''

so the US to UK list is out by one beyond the first 40,

Really hoped after the Incredibles 2 cinema release we'd see a lenti steelbook from Zavvi for the first film. Still yet to find an Incredibles steelbook I really like
