I think what Disney might do is lower the quantity to 3000 for the lesser known titles. I hope they release the rest since it does like nice all together!

It's just a shame that they couldn't go with a consistent front cover design. They started off without borders but then added borders later on. I would of liked a consistent design throughout the whole series.

There's never really been any consistency.

Aladdin doesn't have the Disney logo on the spine, some are gloss, some are matte. Some have borders, others don't. The titles are all over the place on the spine (too high, centralised, too low), pictures at different heights, and so on.

It seems only now with their new number design have Disney finally got a template and stuck to it on their standard Blu-ray releases. The spines are especially nice with everything where it should be (and no extraneous 'special edition' and 'diamond edition' text cluttering it up).

would LOVE a digital release of Song Of The South but as it never really got a DVD release(outside of the mythical euro-Disney version), i highly doubt we'll ever see a blu-ray version let alone a steelbook :(

I've never understood why Disney didn't embrace the movie.

It would have been the perfect time to do a documentary about the subject matter. Just because some viewers might find the movie distasteful is not a reason to brush it under the carpet and hope it'll be forgotten. We live in more enlightened times, yet if the stunningly racist 1930's/40's Batman serials can get a release then it's madness that Song of the South is ignored.

Personally I find Jennifer Aniston movies and Adam Sandler 'comedies' far more offensive (ie: they make my IQ drop!) than SotS, but I wouldn't call for them to be hidden in vaults.

i guess you're not unsealing them? it's best in a way, you won't ever find any dammage hidden by the j card this way lol
so zavvi shipped you another copy of lion king?
I open all my Steelbooks they are not sealed I keep them in the Jcards
I use poly re sealable bags to protect them
Zavvi Refunded me for Lion King and also gave me credit of £10.00 on top of the refund for not supplying me with my Lion King Steelbook

I sourced a replacement myself and after refund and credit my lion King Steelbook only cost me £8.00

Damn, I was quite looking forward to the conversation you were having about posting them all back to Zavvi.

Zavvi should have a vote for any remaining Disney Classics to gauge interest on which ones would sell well. Also, so we could know which ones exactly are coming out instead of waiting to see random choices.

My picks would be:

- Lilo & Stitch
- The Princess and the Frog
- Bolt 3D
- Treasure Planet
- Rescuers Down Under

Also, why the hell did "Hunchback of Notre Dame" go back up in price from £12.99 to £19.75. If anything, I thought it would take a deeper price dive.

I'd be shocked if they didn't release, Lilo & Stitch and The Princess and the Frog. Although some titles have struggled to sell more than others, I don't think these will struggle too much.

so, if i'm not mistaken, out of the latest wave oly lion king never got back romthe day it went sold out?(and beauty and the beast went back but a very limited time)
Lion King did come back on sale on Dec 5th but was sold out very quickly

It was the day after they shipped customers orders 4th of Dec and was most likely cancellations due to payment problems
