Actress Rooney Mara has snagged the role of Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's upcoming film The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

Rooney, who was most recently seen in the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, will star opposite Daniel Craig in the movie that begins shooting in Sweden this fall.

I haven't had a chance to see the US version yet. I watched the extended edition of the swedish version and it's superb.
