"As someone who knows about Hammer, but who has seen embarrassingly few of their films, The Hammer Vault was ideal. It let me fill in the gaps, and mark down which films I needed to see. For the Hammer buff, the stories may be familiar, but the photo collections are first rate. For the young genre neophyte, the book may act as an education. It's way damn fun. --Crave Online

"You can practically smell the brittle script pages, the musty newspaper clippings, and the drippy contact sheets. What makes the images and text even more tantalizing is that, unlike the Hammer poster book, you can't find these things out in the real world. This is truly from the archive, capturing the brightest bits from the history of Hammer." --The Playlist

"Every page is packed with information and well-chosen visuals." Playback:stl

"It is so much more than a coffee table book. It is a history book wrapped in the guise of a coffee table book... I loved every page-turning moment, and the words made the collection of images more entertaining. Do yourself a favor, pick this book up, put it in plain sight and let everyone enjoy the wonderful world of Hammer Films." --Nerd Locker

"Not so much a coffee table book as a historical treasure trove" --Killer Reviews

"The book is every bit as compelling to read as it is to just look at." --High-Def Digest

"The design of this book is GORE-geous." --Comic Related

"The Hammer Vault is a thoroughly enjoyable stroll down one of the bloodier byways of memory lane, and for fans of the company, it will provide hours of diversion." --PopMatters
Product Description
This book tells the story of Hammer Films through previously unseen treasures from the companys archive. Beginning with the companys incorporation documents from 1934, and ending with promotional material from the 2011 release The Resident, The Hammer Vault presents original correspondence, lobby cards, script pages and rare photographs alongside a commentary from the people who made some of the companys greatest films.

Synopsis:

'This remarkable journey through the Hammer vault includes props, annotated script pages, unused poster artwork, production designs, rare promotional material and private correspondence. Hundreds of rare and previously unseen stills help to create a rich souvenir of Hammer’s legacy, from the X certificate classics of the 1950s to the studio’s latest productions.

Written and compiled by the official Hammer Films historian Marcus Hearn, and featuring exclusive contributions from the actors and filmmakers associated with the company, this is the most lavish book ever published on the legendary House of Horror.

· Pages from Peter Cushing's scrapbooks
· Pages from the scrapbook of managing director Michael Carreras
· Pre-production artwork, and poster artwork from films that were never made

This is a beautiful book with fantastic content
Book has exact same content as before but has been updated to cover the later films they made after previous book was released

Lot cheaper also than the previous book
