Just watched the unboxing video and I'd say that this is a pretty special steelbook and my new personal favourite of the three thanks to something I hadn't noticed before in the photos.

Yes, it is matte but not just with more to it than that and is in fact like the others with a metallic sheen on certain parts created by the selective removal of the white basecoat layer to achieve the desired effect

- THE MIST - sheen effect on the car headlights and rooflights on front and back cover.

(BRONSON - sheen effect on blood and title; AMELIE - sheen effect on puddles and café sign; GHOST RIDER 2: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE - sheen effect along the wheels of the bike and on the skull and chain.
All are as listed - in other words a mix of matte with gloss/shine/sheen highlights/effects although not spot glossed which many were expecting, myself included).

Although it states it on the J-card, there is no DTS-HD audio on this version. Only Dolby True HD (which I always find inferior)

So I popped in my German Steelbook disc (Der Nebel) and that looks and sounds so much better than this UK version.

Not sure about disc 2 as I only tried the first disc.

Disappointing though
