God I really hope that FA doesn't follow their recent pattern - create two versions of the slip cover and a hard box release. That would make it super hard to obtain any version, as only those with a number below 400 would even have a chance of getting one through the FA website (not to mention how crazy the GB would be).
This is a Fox release utilising a WWA Steelbook. It is also a shared print run with a relatively low quantity of copies available to FA. Such releases from the big multinationals tend to have only a single numbered FAC edition, probably due to the small number of copies available.
Where the print run is substantially higher, however, FA is able to produce two different numbered editions, due to the increased number of copies available to them. This has tended to be the newer high profile titles ("Terminator Genisys", "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation", etc.). A handful of titles with smaller print runs ("Everest", "The Martian", etc.) have also had two different slips but in those cases, only one of the two slips has actually been numbered.
It's the releases from other companies which don't directly distribute their own product in the Czech Republic, such as Studio Canal and Lionsgate, where the title is licensed to a local distributor. In those cases, there is a higher print run exclusively for the local Czech distributor. This also offers the potential for WEA Steelbooks. It is primarily these titles ("Sicario", "Love Rosie", etc.) where FA is providing the option of two different numbered editions.
An exception to the above was "Birdman" which had three different numbered editions, in spite of being a Sony title. It was, however, a Steelbook exclusive to FA and was available nowhere else in the world, hence the relatively high print run, enabling them to offer the choice of three numbered editions.
With a total of only 1,000 copies of "The Revenant" available to FA, it seems likely that there will only be one numbered FAC edition.
