Thing is, I dont get the quietness on the Dredd thing, they've had the Steelbooks, maybe a quality issue has arose, but a quick update would be good. Sooooo many people waiting with baited breath in anticipation for this release!

Yeah I get that Dredd, Shawshank and the Thing I am oozing anticipation for !!

Defo recommend it though, one of my favourite movies in a long time and I'm a massive fan of Tom Hardy. His role in this, the Warrior and the Take were gold! Such a talented actor. Can't knock ole Leo though, he was very good in this too.

I like Tom Hardy however now I'm getting the feeling hes everywhere . A kind of acting Where is Waldo . The trailer for Legend put me off him so much . All I could see was Alan Partridge . Not even gonna start with him NOT being Max .

Not seen Leo do a bad turn yet . Also like Dunhelmmill Gleeson big time captivating in Dredd and Ex Machina .

At one point Gary Oldman was doing the same only he took it to another level .

That is how it feels . Part of me passing on FA editions is the WANT FOR DREDD . I Have an insane idea that if I dont buy then FA would stop rolling out new titles and blooming concentrate on what has been promised over a year ago . So FA PLEASE PLEASE BEGGING HERE LAND DREDD IN OUR PAWS

I know that feeling mate, already clocked up 68 hours this week! And likely to do at least another 12 hours tomorrow!! Gonna be like a zombie by Sunday! Well with all these hours, I might actually look at getting a one click from manta now ! Will be my first one click ever. But will keep it quiet from the missus, otherwise I might have to do more hours to keep away from her wrath !!

Got my third, and last, on the way so need to get in as much as I can get in preparation, plus my steelbook collecting has taken a hit too, so being particular in what I buy! Anyway, off to another site to manage now and dreading another stupid long day!

good luck mate, seems like you have a big family! try and spend some time with them. Even my misses doesn't want me to work too much to spend more time with her and the baby. luckily she doesn't mind too much about money as long as we can survive LOL

I'm not crazy about either if I'm honest.

My preference would be a combination of both (eg: the rear art of edition 1 slip on the front with the front art of edition 2 on the rear!)

I can't pick one over the other because I think both have their flaws!
I'd probably be edging towards edition 2 as the better overall package, but I don't like that Tom Hardy is on the front of the slip as it's really DiCaprios movie. And I just think editions 1's design is weak. Hmmmm........

I'm not mad or bowled over by either but ended up going for E1 + E2 as there's something I still like from both and love the movie. ML is where it's at with their WEA glossy steel and leather slip etc but I'm sure these will still be nice FAC editions in-hand

In the end I have decided to pass on this as I am slowing down on my Steelbook buying as I have rekindled my love of photography and travel. Only going to buy SteelBooks I really need.

I can't decide what to do. When the OP says, "1000 pieces numbered." This means 1000 of each edition, not 500. Also the hardbox I assume is 500 just based on past FAC editions.

The price for the Hardbox is a tough sell, I have the Fantastic 4 and Love, Rosie ones. The Maniacs Boxes are just a better quality stock not to mention the embossing and other differences. Almost every FAC edition has 2 and 3 releases and the frequency is becoming to much, FA needs to slow down IMO, they are releasing more exclusives than any other specialty retailer except maybe Zavvi but they are starting to make a run at them. I have stacks upon stacks of FAC's

Yeah they're releasing too many movies, a lot of them not that special tbh. I saw this trend and stopped getting every FAC they do. Too much stuff. Add to that the price increases as of late.

They used to feel special, now they're nice don't get me wrong but it's not even close as to what they were before
