You're kidding :wow:
No. Continuity guy also has to make sure a cigarette is the same length shot to shot (can't have a new smoke, when it was half smoked in the other angle), drinks at the same level in the glasses, scars and blood are correct...
Continuity guy is important! One of the biggest recent continuity errors I caught: in Jurassic World, the guy in the control room with all the Model toys on his desk has them all wiped off his desk in the middle of the film. Half an hour later when we cut back to the control room, all his toys are back on his control desk nice and tidy!
So, yeah, there was a guy on set keeping track of the icicle booger!

You know that guy was OCD Collector like us  He paid a mint for an original Jurassic Park shirt. I'm sure he was scrambling around as soon as that happened to get them all back in their "proper place"

It's one of those jobs you know...like the person that is in charge of "nipple-twisting" for the lady-singers on tours :) Except one is more appealing than the other :D
"nipple-twisting"? :cautious:

I mean yea i knew there's someone to maintain continuity shot to shot but icicle boogers caught me off guard

There are many movies in which i have noticed continuity errors. So does that person not get paid or get fired after? :dunno:

Probably not because it doesn't get noticed until well afterward, unless it is a huge obvious error.
But, everytime I see a dialog scene between a group of people where everyone is smoking and drinking I feel horrible for the continuity guy! (All those things have to match up!).
Noticed this HUGE one yesterday. In Pirates of the Carribean 3: after Sparrow and Elizabeth paraglide away from the maelstrom and land in the ocean, moments later they are pulled aboard the Black Pearl COMPLETELY dry straight out of the ocean!!
