I think it's weird that it's got an 18 rating in Ireland and only 15 in the UK. Usually we're the same in Ireland if not more liberal sometimes.

Anyone know why this got an 18 in Ireland?

I don't think the film has been re-submitted to IFCO, but if it did I'm sure it would get a 15A or at least 16.

Without going too off topic, I think Ireland have relaxed their ratings decisions a lot since the early days. I remember when films with references to abortion got a 15/18 (The Cider House Rules), whilst the BBFC rated a 12. The Irish board also allows more swearing (Invictus was a PG with three f-words) whilst the BBFC's and their fuddyduddyness (not a word, I know) won't let it slide!

kubrik season is where they would show one of stanley kubriks films once a week.

they do the same with other films. so they could have a tarantino season. a Schwarzenegger season etc
