We***8217;re certainly planning to continue doing all future seasons of The Walking Dead in steelbook with matching artwork ***8211; it looks likely season 4 will be out in September 2014 as it follows the same pattern as Game of Thrones (i.e. the new season hits DVD and Blu-Ray just before the new season starts).

We***8217;ve been told that the steelbooks will feature in the US Walking Dead magazine, so likely to be quite a bit of international interest for these.

The Entertainment Store is pleased to announce our latest exclusive steelbook releases: Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of The Walking Dead, AMC***8217;s Emmy Award winning TV series.

Each season features world exclusive artwork by Mark Simpson AKA Jock, who is responsible for some of best regarded comics and art of this generation, having worked on 2000AD, The Losers and Hellblazer amongst others as well as producing artwork for many major film studios, including the artwork for HDN Steelbook of the Year 2012 winner The Raid.

Season 3: Slimmed down, thanks to Kron. fortunately Season 2 came with a 4 disc insert, even though there were only 3 discs inside.

Not quite. It's just they haven't said what we want to hear.
They'll tell you all day that they don't have any plans for a season 4.

Well the first three havent sold out so there s a pretty big reason for them to not place the order...

They have seen a substantial price drop in the last few days though.

THEORY TIME

ES drops price to sell seasons 1-3 out, gains massive following for season 4, announces at full price (maybe lower print run this time) and sells out because they now have however many thousand customers with incomplete collections chomping at the bit.

With season 1-4 sold out, maybe season 5 will come out at the same time as the amaray next year.

I'm thinking that it's crazy that Ninjas are at the gates of Disney with pitchforks over (IMO) a perfectly okay GOTG design and yet we can't en-masse hit ES with a campaign for them to carry on the series in the same style.
Ah well, I guess I'm in the minority on the first bit but I'm going to email ES this weekend and let them know I want Season 4 - jumbo or not jumbo.

I'm also in that minority. I quite like the GOTG design.
But for TWD season 4, ES probably has not made enough money off of the other 3 seasons in order to financially justify doing season 4. We don't actually know how many of each season have sold and as they have cut the price, the chances are that they still have quite a few left to shift.

There's no news so far, I wouldn't count on it happening, especially as the other seasons are yet to sell out.
