After Earth, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Captain Phillips, Elysium and quite a few others all have 4K mastered Blu-Ray releases in the UK. But yes, wrong thread.
Thats right. I had tried TASM 4K remastered US version and compared it with the BB steelbook but there was only a slight difference in terms of picture sharpness, it didn't meet my expectation at all so I just felt cheated after upgrading it to 4K lol :offtopic:

Got mine today. Love the lenti slip. The steelbook is sweet, aside from the 10+ paint chips alllll the way down the spine and the spine isn't even on straight. QC at blufans is always a problem. Hoping I can get a replacement.

I am sorry to hear, such hassle you, we, don't need. After the Production issue for the first steel, second steel each copies should have been inspected when ready to be inserted in Lenti. It really seems such a fiasco for the Marvel releases, luckily for GOTG it is Denmark that will produce the release lets hope they pay special care so we get GOTG without any flaws... yes lets hope you can get a replacement without any issues, this is not right.

Yeah it's a shame but I'm not worried. Had a damaged pacific rim slip and was replaced easy and I was reimbursed the return shipping. The print run was 1300 for lenti and 700? for 1/4? I 100% agree that the steelbooks should have been inspected but it isn't the end of the world!

i believe i remember reading (somewhere else) that thor had been made in denmark, if my mind is not playing me a trick i guess the people saying that was wrong

apparently there aren't any thor(1) left /available at the moment, so i'm not sure you 'll have a replacement :( at least for now..

@gaeljet that's a bummer if true. At least the spine isn't gloss...might be able to patch it up with eyeliner, as crazy as that sounds. It sometimes works lol if all fails and no replacement copies I'll post before and after pics of cover up attempt!

My Thor arrived this morning and thank goodness it's minty mint...:) Was getting worried with the reports of paint chips...:ohno:

Pictures later....:photo:

Great depth in the lenticular and the small transition it has (left to right) is perfect. Spot glossing on the front is glorious...:joy::woot:
Very happy with the way this turned out and number (0168 / 1300) :naughty::D

Mine arrived few days ago in France

I'm not a specialist for the lentis, but this one is the best one among the MARVEL lentis done by Blufans so far .. in my opinion. It would have been great if they had choose the same kind of portrait shot for the other ones (Iron Man, Captain America ... and Hulk :woot: :naughty:) ... all of them side by side would have made a great gallery of portraits

Its a fantastic looking steelbook
I'm still waiting for mine to arrive it was sent on a plane to UK by mistake going by the tracking it was scanned for UK instead of Rep of Ireland but it should still make its way to me
The wrong country destination will just will add more delay to the time it arrives to me
I expect UK postal service to redirect it to Ireland
Someone in China needs a lesson that Rep of Ireland is not part of the UK :giggle:
