Hi guys,
Just found out this topic. "Gosti iz galaksije" aka "Visitors from the Galaxy" was a first sci fi film and it is also a first electronic soundtrack in ex Yugoslavia. It was an Yugoslavian - Czechoslovakian co-production. Jan Svankmajer did FX and monster. Dusan Vukotic was also the only Oscar winner in ex Yugoslavia and composer Tomislav Simovic is most famous for his "Professor Balthazar" cartoon music.

Hello Leri and welcome to HiDefNinja!

Thank you for taking the time to share all the informations with us about your first release! I really hope it will be a success and I'm excited to see what FOX002LP will be :thumbs::thumbs:

You're welcome and thanks for your welcome. :)
We are already sorted for our first 5-6 releases. ;) Our next one will be ex Yugoslavian disco compilation "Socialist disco" which is part of an exhibition my partner Zeljko curated here in Croatia. Out sometimes late May.
http://socialistdisco.tumblr.com/
Third some unreleased demo stuff our friend Dejan Krsic did under a name NEP. Some of the tracks feature Anja Rupel from Videosex on vocals.
Videosex where quite big in the 80's in ex Yugoslavia.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely get the "Socialist Disco" vinyl. Sounds super dope! My very best friends are from Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia. Visited all three countries multiple times. Love your culture, the food and the people very much! And I listen to a lot of old and new music from your and the other ex-yugoslavian countries. Like it very much!

This vinyl section here is more OST-oriented from what the users are interested in but I'll definitely update the ninjas in our "Latest & Upcoming Vinyl"-thread for your next releases!

Glad you've liked it in S/B/C. :) Most of our releases will be from ex-yugoslavian countries mostly electronic 70-80's music but with an open minded music policy ... like music used in radio dramas, cartoons, soundtracks from ex Yugoslavia and compilations like "Socialist disco" or "Synth Yugoslavia" a joint release we're doing with Dark entries ... remixes/edits (legal ones) of ex yu tracks. Hope it will make sense to others like it does to us. :) More dance floor oriented sub label coming up soon too. :)
Thanks for your support. :)
