Certainly not one of the standouts in my collection but was fantastic value for money in my opinion and the movie itself looks sublime in 3D. Also only recently upgraded to a 4k screen so along with HMV homecoming I now have 2 movies to show it off!
Not wishing to fan the flames . . . but this steelbook would go well with the ML Fullslip A:-
. . . and for those not keen on the slip there's always these to hide the embarrassing naked spine:-
. . . and for those looking to buy Fox steelbooks in the future - complete with titles on the spines - there's some concern voiced on another forum about the long term prospects now that Disney have taken over . . . not impossible that this slipcover arrangement is the first of others on Fox steelbooks . . . and that the guys making up the magnetic spines will be kept busy in the future . . .
Now I have this release in person I don't actually feel it's that bad! It's god lovely glossing over Cesar and the apes together strong sign on the rear yeah it has it's problems but could have been worse.
Don't know about your, and others, unnatural obsession with dustbins . . . but just to humour you - if you're putting this steelbook in a dustbin I suggest you put in at least 50% of all "equally bad/equally good" steelbooks ever produced to join it - place carefully, though, and then have the bin delivered to me . . .
Thanks in advance.
Fully loaded - 4K, 3D + standard BD - plus digital codes of all three films for 25 quid (which is more than can be said for some of the so-called premium edition) plus sympathetic homogeneous original take artwork from an original poster design.
Not as if either the ML or FA steelbooks are anything to write home about . . .
