I have been going at them with a warmed up putty knife.

The slip covers don't usually survive the operation but they are pretty much useless once the lenticular is off of them anyway. Remember to remove any and all gook from the back of the lenticular before adhering it to the magnet. I put a bunch of goo gone on a rag and just rub the hell out of it until it is all gone.

Just be gentle and it should be okay.

I'm in the same boat as you tono. I think my first one was better. The back of mine has a impression mark and it pops in and out when you press on it. This Blu Fans release has made us Sad Fans

I'm just glad I finally have my steel back.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread since the group-buys have ended, and I just opened my copy today (decided it's time has come ), and the back of mine is pretty scratched up as well. I see some recent posts about this problem, but how common was it actually? From the last few pages I get the impression that most of them arrived damaged.

i sent back my 2 copies for refund (only took about 50 days to get my money back lol) the back of both were scratched all over had 2 dents on both copies, quality control on these was terrible imho even the lenticular slip cover had printing errors (lines on front and back)
