Default s7v7n's HT

Just upgraded my Surround Sound from Polk to Def Tech 8080's & added a Trinity Sub for good measure.

My living room layout is different than most since my TV is mounted in an odd shaped cut-out over the fireplace. This doesn't allow me to have Tower speakers so I had to go with wall mounted Surrounds. I chose the Def Tech line because the Center has a Powered Sub to help out the traditional Sub & take some of the weight of the Mid Range. This choice was also made because I can add Towers at a later date when I move & they will blend seamlessly to what I have. Def Tech's also sound great for HT & this is my primary focus.

I installed a rack in a closet to keep my living room clean & run a IR receiver with blasters to the equipment. It works out very well for my Harmony One remote. I went with a swing rack that allows me to access the back of equipment when needed, but also slides flush to wall. I keep a lot of room between components in the rack to help on cooling, but never had a problem with temperature at all. Have a look:

Home Theater Rack: (in a closet)
- Onkyo Receiver w/Ipod Dock (HT-RC180)
- Oppo Blu-Ray Player (BDP-83 w/region free mod)
- DVDO Edge Video Processor
- Samsung 3D Blu-ray Player (BD-D5500)
- Directv DVR (HR22-100)
- Monster Power Conditioner (EP 3650)

- Def Tech Bi-Polar Surround Speaker (X4) SR-8080BP
- Def Tech SuperCube Trinity 2000W Subwoofer (2x14" woofers, 4x14" radiators)

- Samsung 55" LED 3D TV (UN55D8000)
- Def Tech Center Speaker (CS-8080HD)
- Xantech Wall Link IR Receiver (above TV) WL25
- Logitech Harmony One Remote

- Just keeping the wiring nice & neat
