I don't have it but as far as i'm aware it does not have the 3 hour documentary that the special editions have.

Could be wrong but i'm pretty sure i saw that.

The steelbook does have the documentary. watched it myself last night, it lasts for almost 5 hours in total, superb extra package and release of the year imo

Yes. In term of content this is easily the best for 2012, as a movie it had so much potential to trash the entire Alien franchise but was so much toned down.

Was there ever a disc replacement scheme for the 3D disc in this? I just got a 3-D set-up and this disc has issues. I've googled it and found lots of different people are having issues, so surely it's the discs and not all the various players. My firmware's up-to-date.

mine was fine, Iv'e not heard anyone complain about faulty discs tbh

I'm specifically talking about the 3D Disc. The other 2 Discs are fine, for me anyway.

yeah that's what I meant it worked fine for me, there could be some faulty ones though if others have complained about it, I just haven't heard about it

Don't know if it helps but my 3D disc worked fine no problems. Watched it using PS3.

I just got a 3-D set-up and this disc has issues. I've googled it and found lots of different people are having issues, so surely it's the discs and not all the various players. My firmware's up-to-date.
