Release Date for the Extended Blu-ray Trilogy ‘The Lord of the Rings’ Announced

There was certainly a lot of earlier anticipation and hype regarding the reports about ‘The Lord of the Rings’ Blu-ray release. Apparently and finally, Warner Home Video made the announcement and it has been confirmed that the extended Blu-Ray trilogy would be officially released at June 28th.

The news is certainly quite exciting, especially for those who had been waiting for the release for quite some time. Yet, what is even more surprising is the fact that the set comprises of 15 discs since there are three movies included namely, ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’, ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers’, along with behind the scene footage and other various features. The video quality is certainly quite impressive due to the fantastic Blu-ray vision, with the 6.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, that would truly make it enjoyable watching the film.

While listing the entire additional features which are a part of the 15 disc set would indeed go on quite long, yet some of those extra features include:

* Commentaries about all three ‘Lord of the Rings’ films from the cast, the director, the writer and other members of the team,

* Quite a long feature of documentaries showcasing how the movie became possible from the just an inspiration from the book,

* Several documentaries featuring the making of all three films.

The disc set is not only worth having but it can even reasonably be purchased and is conveniently available at Amazon as well.
