Adrianne Palicki Joins the Cast of the Upcoming G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes

It seems that Adrianne Palicki is rightfully rising to stardom. The actress was last seen in a Wonder Woman costume as she took on the role of the Amazonian princess for the pilot episode of a proposed Wonder Woman TV series. It has recently been confirmed that the actress has stepped aboard the anticipated G.I. Joe sequel ‘G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes’ by Paramount Pictures and has officially joined the cast.

The cast of the upcoming film also includes Channing Tatum, Byung Hun-lee, DJ Cotrona, Dwayne Johnson, Elodie Yung, Ray Park and the RZA. Since Stephen Sommers decided to pursue his adaptation of Odd Thomas rather than working on this sequel, he has been replaced Jon M. Chu who directed films such as Never Say Never and Step Up 3D. This time the script for the sequel has been provided by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick who have been scribes of Zombieland so much better dialogues can also be expected from this upcoming film.

For a movie like this Adrianne Palicki is definitely well suited since she has already worked in a supernatural action movie like ‘Legion’ which makes her appropriate for this genre. While we might never get to see Adrianne Palicki in the role of Wonder Woman, one thing that is sure is that that single pilot episode caused her career to significantly boost up. Now that she is a part of the G.I. Joe sequel’s case we can actually expect her see much more of her on the big screen.
