Sideshow Collectibles Boba Fett 1/6 Scale Review

I’ve only gotten interested in Sixth Scale and similar types of figures over the last year. Prior to this Boba Fett figure, the only ones I have seen in person are the Iron Man line by Hot Toys. So it’s a real treat for me to have a chance to review this figure for HiDefNinja and it’s my first figure that I’ve seen that is manufactured by Sideshow Collectibles.

For any Star Wars fan, perhaps one of the most fun characters and beloved secondary characters is Boba Fett. This figure is part of the “Scum & Villainy” line for Sideshow and I have to say that they really spared no expense in paying a large amount of attention to the little details that sometimes go unnoticed.

I’m reminded of my childhood and the fact that my brother and I had a number of the original figures from the Hasbro line – Luke, Vader, and even Solo. But one we were missing, for some reason, was Boba Fett – it
could have been that my cousin who would often visit and bring some of the more exotic toys that my parents couldn’t afford on their budget – included Fett and his ship.

So I always had a bit of anticipation when he would visit – because Fett and even the Rancor would come with him. Having said that, and hopefully expressing my interest in Fett not only from my love of the Empire Strikes Back (my brother and I had to pick our “favorite” Star Wars film as children – his was ROJ and mine was ESB) this figure is definitely impressive.

It’s a great value at $174.99 given the amount of accessories and detail that went into this figure.

The light up base allows you to present Fett in a number of different poses, depending on if you decide
to use any of the included hands, or switch out the feet to more of an action pose.

Boba Fett - Hands, Accessories

The flight suit was made with extreme care and if you look closely you can see that it’s been “dirtied” up a bit to give the figure a great start even before you begin looking at the accessories. One thing I didn’t think of at first is that sometimes figures come with more than one head sculpt, but the only one here is the Mandalorian helmet. Honestly though, I don’t think a different one was necessary, it’s a great sculpt – the antenna on the helmet is adjustable and moves.

There are a few weapons included, Boba’s blaster which can be attached to a holster that is on his hip and the rifle which you can sling over his shoulder using the strap or hold it in one of the many different included hands.

A highlight of this figure is his guantlets – the amount of detail that went into each one is fantastic and really shows off this figure – and showcases the scrapes, dents and other weathering effects that Sideshow added to the costume, the armor and the helmet. Of course the figure wouldn’t be complete without his jet pack & concussion missile, which attaches via two clips on the back of the figure.

With more than 30 points of articulation, I think you may find any number of different poses that will display this figure as a highlight of your Star Wars or Sideshow collection.
