Breaking: Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass to return to BOURNE

Variety is reporting that sources have told them that Universal Pictures is in early negotiations with both Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass to have them return for a fifth BOURNE film. The film would take the July 16, 2016 release date that was previously held by THE BOURNE BETRAYAL, the second film that’s set to star Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross. It’s now unknown when that film will be released.

To date, Damon’s three Jason Bourne films — THE BOURNE IDENTITY, THE BOURNE SUPREMACY and THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM — have brought in over $940-million worldwide. The franchise as a whole has brought in over a $1-billion.
