13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (also known simply as 13 Hours) is a 2016 American biographical war film directed and produced by Michael Bay and written by Chuck Hogan, based on Mitchell Zuckoff’s 2014 book of the same name.
From director Michael Bay, 13 HOURS: THE SECRET SOLDIERS OF BENGHAZI is the riveting true story of six elite ex-military operators assigned to protect the CIA who fought back against overwhelming odds when terrorists attacked a U.S. diplomatic compound on September 11, 2012. When everything went awry, six men had the courage and bravery to do what was right. Based on the nonfiction book 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi by New York Times bestselling author Mitchell Zuckoff and Members of the Annex Security Team.
John Krasinski and James Badge Dale are pretty much made to play soldiers in films. They do a fantastic job here and I personally believe that 13 Hours went under the radar for many. It’s a worthy viewing, and enlightening as well.
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi comes to Ultra HD Blu-ray 4K with Dolby Vision. The film is visceral with plenty of scenes that dynamically switch up the palette and thus Dolby Vision makes this look amazing. Explosions, night scenes, outdoors, indoors etc. You have it all with this film. Dolby Vision puts in work on this one here, and you won’t be disappointed.
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi comes to Ultra HD Blu-ray 4K with a dolby atmos track and if there is one thing you can put money on in the world of home media experiences it’s that Michael Bay and Dolby Atmos are a match made in heaven. The film is loud, and the Dolby Atmos track handles it perfectly. Front heavy with great bass.
