Batman 1-4 Ultra HD Blu-ray 4K Review

Toward the end of the 1980s, the Warner Bros. studio began producing a series of feature films starring Batman, beginning with the 1989 film Batman, directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton. Burton and Keaton returned for the 1992 sequel Batman Returns, and in 1995, Joel Schumacher directed Batman Forever with Val Kilmer as Batman. Schumacher also directed the 1997 sequel Batman & Robin, which starred George Clooney. Batman & Robin was poorly received by both critics and fans, leading to the cancellation of Batman Unchained.

THE MOVIE:

The original Batman movies may be dated to some millennials, but many sure seem to still give praise to Batman and Batman Returns. They’ve all been great in one way or another for me, and my generation seems to still be fond of them just as much some 30 years later! Before Heath Ledger took the world by storm it was Jack Nicholson in his iconic role as the Joker in BATMAN that finally propelled Batman to hollywood blockbuster super stardom. Kids of the 80’s know full well what it meant to wear out that VHS tape with the legendary bat symbol on the front of the jacket. In Batman returns you get an amazing role from Danny Devito as the Penguin. The franchise us other big stars such as Tommy Lee Jones as two face and Jim Carrey as The Riddler with George Clooney and Val Kilmer also starring as the caped crusader. If you haven’t watched the Batman flicks than there is no better time then to start now with Ultra HD Blu-ray.

VIDEO QUALITY:

The Batman Franchise features brand new remasters from original camera negatives and it’s just fabulous that after all these years we are still getting improvements to these childhood classics. Also featuring brand new 4k coloring.

AUDIO QUALITY:

Brand new Dolby Atmos audio tracks adorn this Batman Franchise in Ultra HD Blu-ray and while some of the sounds of the past don’t have that same punch as more modern tracks it still is super impressive and there won’t be any true real complaints that ruin your viewing experience. It’s the best these films have ever sounded.
