[RSVLTS] Power the Force Collection Review

Over the past few years roaming the halls of comic cons I’ve began to see a new trend of companies offering pop-culture themed clothing. I have even begun dedicating some of my convention coverage solely on this genre at both New York Comic Con and San Diego Comic-Con. One of these companies is RSVLTS. As you start getting into this area they immediately stand out because of their quality, unique styles, and available offerings.

Generally RSVLTS works with many companies to license their properties and they have been working with Disney Consumer Products on continual Star Wars releases. But in 2025 Disney launched a year-long Star Wars campaign called Power the Force which RSVLTS is also taking part in. RSVLTS HQ were also kind enough to send over some samples of the collection to review.

Before we get into this collection and subsequent review, for those new to this company, let’s give a bit of background information on the RSVLTS brand.

So who are RSVLTS?

RSVLTS [rose-uh-velts] are an apparel brand bringing officially licensed unique and daring designs from a span of movies, shows, artists, and sports. The company founded by Steve Gebhardt and John Tramutolo in Hoboken, New Jersey, started with a single partnership but has since exploded in size and content. Within the brand RSVLTS has also created their Breakfast Balls label mainly offering their All-Day line of Polos.

Many people I initially talk to think the name is actually short for Results but really the company is named after Teddy Roosevelt who the founders believed tried to squeeze every drop out of life that he could. This has ultimately led to their ethos of delivering high-quality products to their fans for those who – Dare Mighty Things.

What does RSVLTS offer?

RSVLTS signature item is their KUNUFLEX™ button-down shirts. These shirts are lightweight, soft, and stretchy. The shirts rarely wrinkle and don’t shrink in the wash.

After they RSVLTS offers their All-Day line of Polos within their Breakfast Balls line. These polos feature a more relaxed breathable and stretchable cut while also having moisture wicking.

For those who may just want more standard clothing RSVLTS also has a pretty regular offering of shirts, polos, hoodies, short-sleeved shirts, tees, shorts, sweatshirts, jackets, flannels, and hats all in mostly solid colors.

The company even dabbles in drinkware, patches, pins, and other accessories.

Anything else special about RSVLTS?

Community! The final aspect of RSVLTS I want to touch on before getting into the review is the community they’ve built up. Even with their rapid expansion RSVLTS has still embraced their fans and the collectors market at large. They engage heavily with their community through a strong Insiders Facebook group, attend many conventions offering exclusives, and regularly host in-person and online fan events.

RSVLTS Power the Force Collection

So while I did cover the announcement when the collection originally went on sale I was at the New York Toy Fair and was therefore a bit pre-occupied. The newest Star Wars collection, which is currently, available for sale, focuses on the fantastical tech found in the Star Wars universe and is as mentioned above part of a year long Power the Force campaign from Disney.

The designs in the collection feature both classic and new droids as well as lightsabers from over the decades available in RSVLTS’ signature KUNUFLEX™ material available across the classic (unisex) style, with select designs being available in women’s, youth and preschooler styles and sizing. The collection also includes All-Day Polos, a Crewneck T-shirt, a snapback hat, and ball marker golf accessories.

So what do you think of the shirts and the collection?

Let’s start with what initially drew me into RSVLTS and is their main product – the KUNUFLEX™ button-down shirts.

One of the first things you notice when you touch one of these shirts for the first time is the feel. Because the fabric is a combination of polyester and spandex the shirts have a very smooth almost silky feel but also have a bit of stretch to them. They definitely need a bit of getting used to and if you are ever at a convention I encourage you to utilize their sizing shirts to get an idea of the different fits. In general I struggle a bit with sizing because I have broader shoulders which sometimes mean I have to go up in size (from a Large to an XL) however if I go to XL then the stomach area of a shirt becomes too loose. What I generally like about these shirts is that because of the type of fabric the shirts have a bit of give and I am able to comfortably wear a size Large while not being uncomfortable; which also has the benefit of making me look a bit thinner.

Quality wise the shirts are quite durable and though I admit I have not worn any one shirt excessively I have not noticed any issues with a tear or loose thread yet. I have however worn these shirts over the course of a day at comic convention and I will mention that they do a pretty good job of moisture wicking with an added bonus of not showing any visible wet areas so if you need to run from one side of the convention center to the other you can do so confidently.

All of the KUNUFLEX™ shirts feature a pocket with the RSVLTS logo sewn in the upper corner. In some instances the fabric of the pocket and buttons even aligns with the shirt design to create a seamless flow, which may be a minor thing to some but something I personally appreciate when I see.

Some other observations about the button-downs would be their tagging. Most of the shirts display the collection they come in on the label be it Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, and even some with a convention label – making a good convention exclusive.  Finally the shirts also come with an extra set of buttons just in case.

With the Power the Force KUNUFLEX™ button-down shirts we have three different designs.

“Saber Schematics”

This black shirt will show you the inner workings of your favorite saber.

Initially, Saber Schematics was the shirt that stood out to me when I first saw the collection. The schematics being in white along with a drop of color for the kyber crystals contrasts nicely off of a black shirt and really makes the shirt pop. This is not the first schematics style shirt from RSVLTS and overall I think they generally do a great job when offering schematic design shirts.

“Chop & Loth”

Next up we have everyone’s favorite chaotic droid Chopper from Star Wars Rebels. Chopper chopper can  in various moods on a purple checkered shirt which also features a lothal cat.

This one’s a hard one for me. While I do think the design is interesting and Chopper has become a beloved character the shirt falls a bit flat to me. I appreciate the addition of the lothal cat but the colors are a bit on the duller side. However when you do pair the shirt with the Chopper hat it does become a bit more stand out.

“Wired for Battle”

Finally you’ve got Wired for Battle, which features various droids across the Star Wars Universe including R2-D2, C-3PO, BB-8, K-2SO, Huyang, BD-1, Imperial Probe Droid, and more in a repeating pattern.

When I initially saw this shirt I thought it would be too loud for my tastes but after seeing it in person I still feel it is too loud for my tastes but I have come to appreciate the varied droids used and the funky color schemes. The reds and blues honestly make this the stand out shirt of three button-downs and likely the entire collection.

I also appreciate the some of the other details in the collection such as the RSVLTS logo on the pocket using the Star Wars colors.

Onto the Breakfast Balls All Day Polos…

For me this was completely new territory as while I was aware of the polos RSVLTS offered I had never gotten one for myself and so I was very eager to try one out. Because of the material these polos have a more athletic feel than a cotton feel, similar to older Under Armour Compression shirts without the compression. I’ll admit I don’t golf but I still feel the polos are very nice and don’t think anyone will fault me for it if I wear them in the office. Also because of the material there is definitely moisture wicking in the polos and because they are 12% spandex they also have a lot more give than the button-downs and therefore are much more comfortable for casual wearing. RSVLTS does advertise the shirts are cut a bit shorter however as someone that does not tuck their polos I did feel the polos were a bit longer than I would prefer.

The labels instead of being sewn into the fabric are screen printed on the polos. I’ll have to give it a few wears before I comment on the quality there as usually screen printed labels do peel off over time. Though, similar to the button-downs the labels dofeature which collection they belong to and also come with an extra set of buttons just in case. In the case of the Artoo Army it even has two buttons as one of the polo buttons is a different color; which is an appreciated addition.

In the Breakfast Balls Power the Force collection there were a trio of All-Day Polos

“Oh My!”

Starting off we have the C-3PO themed Oh My! All day polo. This all yellow shirt features your favorite fretful droid C-3PO.

Ultimately while I appreciate the love our favorite paranoid droid the pattern is a bit disjointed for me and the color is a bit too yellow for my tastes. I do though like contrasting gray coloring on the collar and in the shirt off of the yellow.

“The BB-8”

Moving on we’ve got another yellow, though not quite as yellow, polo in the BB-8 featuring the many sides of BB-8.

This polo is a bit more to my liking. The pattern is a bit more symmetrical and pleasing to my eyes and the white base on the shirt really makes the design pop and makes for a more palpable aesthetic.

“Artoo Army”

Wrapping up we have my new favorite polo Artoo Army a repeating pattern of R2-D2 in a blue polo.

The blue is easy in the eyes and the repeating pattern with alternating black and white R2-D2s just plain works. The black trim on the color along with the red middle button only adds to this amazing polo.

Outside of that there is a tee and a hat in the Power the Force Collection.

“Saber Schematics”

The crewneck t-shirts are fairly standard shirts except that RSVTS have opted for a very soft polyester/cotton/rayon blend that makes for a very comfortable feel. Similar to the All Day Polos the label is screen printed on. A small RSVLTS logo with a Dare Mighty Things phrase on the back adds a nice touch.

This tee is a bit more streamilined with just a graphics on the back featuring the schematics of a lightsaber in black on a pure white shirt.

“Chopper”

A grey and yellow snapback hat featuring Chopper from Star Wars Rebels. The hat is a fairly typical snapback with stitching all around.

So Tell Me What You Really Think (Final Thoughts)

Overall I was already becoming a fan of the RSVLTS brand before getting my hands on the Power the Force collection pieces.

As I mentioned at the start of the article in the area of pop culture themed clothing RSVLTS have certainly solidified themselves at the top of that list. The amount of licenses they offer is ever expanding and they continue to release collections on a regular basis. The shirts have a quality feel and I regularly get shout outs when I’ve worn them. I certainly believe if you are a pop culture fan you can find your fandom and a shirt that works for you and it is certainly worth the price tag to add one or more to your collection.

Regarding the Power the Force collection while I find reviewing the quality of the shirts fairly easy reviewing the designs themselves is a bit more difficult as much of that can come down to personal taste. I tried to be a bit more objective based on my personal preference which often lie in some of the more subtle or muted shirts in any collection whereas others may like a bolder option. That said after getting the shirts in hand while there were some misses in my opinion overall the collection hits the mark, especially if you are a droid fan. The button-downs feature two very solid shirts while the Breakfast Balls line also added two solid polos for any Star Wars Fan with in my opinion Wired for Battle being the clear winner.

Head over to the RSVLTS homepage to grab these shirts while available or any other collection that fits your style and be sure to check out their Field Notes Page where they post release notes, other news, and information on their exclusive releases for the convention.

If you do pick any of them up feel free to discuss it in our Star Wars RSVLTS thread on the forums or our other RSVLTS thread.

That’s not all. Since this is too many shirts for me. I’ll be hosting a give-away on our forums for the shirts and if you are in the INSIDERS Facebook group as well!
