Wish they had gone with more interesting designs some look too boring in my opinion but some may love the credits theme. Diamonds are Forever could have looked great

Some of these look great; the only thing I can think of is that many of the landscape posters have Bond on the left, or slap bang in the middle. In both instances, it would be hard to fit the image onto the front/rear of a steelbook using the image as originally shown on the poster.

I think the theme is overall gorgeous. Problem is trying to keep up with Bond re-releases - nightmare. These would be the ones to have but took me ages to get Bond 50 waiting for price to come down so I'll regrettably likely pass on these but they are beautiful lined up together above.

The artwork from the original 20 in DVD Special Edition form would my choice - along with the 007 Gun Spine.
for Example:

With a little effort in cleaning up, the Special Edition Image would be preferable, I think.

It may have been a cool idea to use artwork from the respective title sequences, the same way it was a cool idea to use concept artwork for the Film Arena edition of The Terminator, but it still looks dreadful. I think designers are hired and paid lots of money to design poster artwork for good reason so studios' reluctance to use it is baffling. The lack of real inside artwork is also an issue, at least Fox used to use a still from the film but it seems they have got even lazier. Then there are the existing Steelbook releases which don't match these at all and I can't see them going for similar artwork on a Steelbook release of Spectre. Fox will probably change it up in terms of embossing and finishing to make it even worse. The whole thing is just a complete disaster really when it should have been a celebration of one of the greatest movie franchises ever.

Why did Zavvi think those Steelbooks would go along with these ones

I wanted more Bond Steels to go along with these ones.....now they are all going to be different ¬¬
