Congratulations to the Chicago Bulls!

Rookie Denzel Valentine drilled a turnaround jumper as time expired and the Chicago Bulls knocked off the Minnesota Timberwolves 84-82 in overtime Monday to win a wildly entertaining Las Vegas Summer League championship game.

The Bulls raced to an 18-10 in the first quarter, but Minnesota countered with a 22-0 run of its own to storm to a double-digit lead. Chicago then responded with a 19-2 run in the third quarter that ended up tying the game. From there, the two teams kept it close throughout the fourth quarter. In the final five seconds of regulation, the Wolves' Tyus Jones hit a three-pointer to give the Wolves the lead, only for Valentine to tie the game on the subsequent possession with a miracle three-pointer of his own to send the game to overtime.

In the extra period, Chicago took an early five-point lead that was eventually erased when a desperation three from the Wolves' Xavier Silas tied the game with 12 seconds left. After his heroics in regulation, the Bulls allowed Valentine to control their final possession, and he calmly hit the game-winning bucket as the clock expired, capping a perfect 7-0 summer league campaign.

Second-year Bulls guard Jerian Grant was named the MVP of the title game, as he contributed 24 points -- including the first five of overtime -- 10 boards and five assists. Bobby Portis was a beast down low, tallying 26 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in the victory. Valentine, meanwhile, finished with only seven points on 3-of-10 shooting, but the pair of clutch buckets more than made up for his poor efficiency. He also added eight rebounds and three assists.

Jones, the Las Vegas Summer League MVP, continued his fantastic play in the title match for Minnesota, collecting 27 points and 10 assists in the loss. Adreian Payne was the Timberwolves' main presence inside, accumulating 22 points and 16 rebounds. The only other player in double figures for the team was Silas, who scored 10 points on 4-for-12 shooting.

The two clubs will now turn their focus to training camp, where several members from both summer league teams will be participating.
