Like I said before I’m skipping this. I can’t see a benefit with this being in 4K but maybe I’m wrong. Much prefer the original steel I’m happy I own. Gloss could improve this though.

I’m defo in for 28 years. Can’t wait it looks incredible

That back art/pic just looks so weird.. it's like they used some kinda AI post processing to highlight the bus and character and left the background alone giving a photoshopped effect. Sticks out even more in contrast to the front

Looks like aus is getting Excluded from new steels going forward this is the second one list past days first over the top then this, i personally think it’s crap been a continuous customer going way back and glad I have locked in some items, either they are restricting us from buying certain titles or all going forward that’s being released or they are gradually pulling away from us.
Let’s hope they are going to sell there stock as they will be hoping someone else buys. Unless there is another reason for this I’m all years. Someone pointed this out to me with the vault edition but I can purchase them but have no interest so funny why they can’t but I had gone for the steelbook ones as have currently the rest of them.
Maybe they see if they can sell out locally and if not ship out elsewhere who knows. Just curious if other places are getting the same

Sold out on Zavvi
No way these are selling out so quick over the top now this? Either zavvi are getting very low stocks and limiting the stocks to uk only but in saying that I’m sure I seen over the top mediabook available for USA yet two items in arrow none for Aus

Y'all got too comfortable with stuff not selling out instantly!

I never got the option mate it seems zavvi latest steels have been excluded for us in aus this and over the top i was fully aware of them but was not able to purchase and I was early in seeing them, i know this as uk still shows over the top mediabook available in uk for example but never here even shows for USA not sure why aus is being messed around with

Gonna pre order it but it is very similar to the ones I already have for 28 Days and Weeks that came out a while ago so if it’s still in stock closer to release date I’ll probably cancel. Like others have said, how good can this even look in 4K? One of my all time favourite movies though can’t wait for 28 Years Later!
Does anyone know if you can change the delivery address of a pre order on zavvi? I’m moving soon you see.

I'm going to pass on this. This has the potential to look really really bad. The blu ray I watched was barely watchable, surely there is just has no detail left to offer on UHD, due to the intentional format it was shot on?

If by some miracle it looks okay. I think a standard Amaray release will suffice.

It'll look a bit better than the blu-ray, I think. There's no more resolution to squeeze out of most of the native source, but a fresh scan and encode on a larger disc with a DV pass should improve the picture to an extent. The final act was filmed on 35mm, so that should be native 4K. Atmos is also a plus.

You say the final act was filmed on 35mm... More a prologue really, only about 3 or 4 minutes wasn't it?

I'm genuinely interested to see how this turns out, my expectations are very low but will be more than happy if they (some how) knock it out the park.

Okay, "act" is probably a strong word. Let's say scene, then. It's been a long while since I've seen it, I was going to rewatch recently, but thought I may as well wait for the 4K.

I am under no illusion that it'll be a knockout, but I still expect it to look (and sound) better than the blu-ray. That being said, I don't own the previous steelbook, but if I did, I probably wouldn't be buying a physical copy of the 4K.
