This looks very interesting. I'll try to avoid any other trailers for this movie. Seems like a knockout performance from Keaton in a non-mainstream movie!

Honestly after sitting in the panel for this movie at New York Comic Con all I can say is I must see this movie ASAP. I should have seen it this weekend but it is only in limited release, but I may pop into the city for it.

One of the things discussed during the panel and I hear is true is that the movie feels like it was shot in one long continuous take.

Also not sure why there is not more buzz for the movie, Michael Keaton, Ed Norton, Emma Stone, and Naomi Watts.

over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Actually I think it has some pretty good buzz, According to Box Office Mojo, it did very well this past weekend:

"Birdman opened at four locations in New York and Los Angeles and scored one of the best per-theater averages ever for a live-action movie."

"At four locations in New York and Los Angeles, Birdman opened to an excellent $424,397 this weekend. That translates to a $106,099 per-theater average, which ranks 18th all-time (eighth among live-action movies). It's also the second-highest average of the year behind The Grand Budapest Hotel (also from Fox Searchlight)."

"Fox Searchlight is planning to expand Birdman in to around 45 to 50 theaters next weekend. Look for it to make a nationwide break sometime in early November."

I can't wait to see it when it expands out my way! :woot:

oh I meant on the forum, there was no one chatting about this movie before my post for almost 2 months!

Oh gotcha. Ya, this area of HDN can be a tad quiet sometimes... Seems like people are too focused talking about steelbooks or something haha

from the clips I saw at NYCC it made me want to see this ASAP, prior to that iw as like eh I'll see ti now it went into wow I must see it

Alright so the movie was very good, a few things I did and did not like

Movie spoilers - ye've been warned
Likes
the movie seemed like it was filmed in one shot, felt so different
the acting, i mean great performances from Michael Keaton, Ed Norton, and Emma Stone was just so great

Dislike
the drum music - omg was so bad throughout it became distracting

So I guess the movie ends a bit ambiguous, does he really have powers or did he drop to his death. Even with Sam (stone's) elated face she herself could be delusional. Just great seeing his interations with all the other characters and seeing a movie about a man trying to avoid becoming obscure.

overall I really say see it

also at the theater there was a trailer for Big Eyes directed by Tim Burton and Inherent Vice
