This is my first post and I think I got everything right......let me know if I haven't! I received this today and couldn't find any posts about it so thought I'd start my own. Amazon say that this is a limited edition, hence the choice of forum.
I've taken a few more photos, including comparing it to the Japanese Hobbit: unexpected journey which is in the same style. As you can see The Hobbit is slightly thicker than Fellowship due to the booklet. With my OCD about these things I thought that would really annoy me, but luckily it doesn't!

Thanks for posting it!!! Saw this a few weeks back and totally forgot to post about it.

I already have The Hobbit (please Amazon, release 2-3 the same..)

For LOTR, I'll wait and see if they release the rest of the serie.

If not, in both cases, it's completely useless....

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they continue with these releases, I can't really see why they wouldn't. But then I remember the whole Hobbit digibook thing and I get worried!

Still hoping they release 2 and 3. The whole set would look great on a shelf.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed! I think that releasing the first 2 Hobbit films in the same style is encouraging though, so hopefully we will (eventually) see the whole set.

@cowbuster, I saw this image while browsing the first Hobbit edition yesterday, which is somewhat encouraging.

Guess it's just a matter of time now. Perhaps they're waiting for the second Hobbit to release first.

Looks good! Although it does only say DVD on the boxes in that pic. Hopefully that's just an oversight!

That's an old picture of the DVD single editions. As the individual release's were released on DVD in those book style slip boxes....
No update yet on the 2nd & 3rd LOTR films coming on blu in the book style slip boxes..

We wait and hope as #1 has been released this year...
