BTW had the same issue with the french Steel. And even though I knew they had these issues and was super carefully removing the J-Card with the gluey blob, it happened. Returned both because FMJ also had some dings.
My German SteelBooks turned out pretty mind though: The J-Card is not attached by blobs but the round transparent stickers. Could easily be removed as usual.

Too bad you need that UK J-card even though everything else is exactly the same.

Interesting! Maybe I'll give the German version a go then... it's annoying my OCD only having FMJ (which I had no such issues with) in my collection. Isn't the German rating sticker usually a single large square though??

There isn't any rating sticker. As usual the age rating is on the J-card as well.
