As most of you know, I am a HUGE horror movie fan and with Halloween just around the corner I am thinking of trying something new. 1 horror movie for every day in October. I'm not talking about doing double features so you can have a day off, I'm talking about 1 a day. Anyone else interested in trying this. I know some people prolly don't have the library (or the time) that I do so it might be tough. If you are interested in trying then mark your spot in this thread and come back every day and update it. I can't believe i convinced my bride to do this with me, hahaha. If you miss a day, don't feel bad, keep updating when you watch.

Kinda f**ked up this year. A little late starting thanks to a trip to Florida for Halloween Horror Nights.

That's a great movie Glen Bob!

I watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers today on MGM HD. :)

Damn, I have to upgrade my Directv so I get that channel. HD Extra pack cost another $4.99, for 6 channels. Maybe if I stopped buying so many Blu-rays I could afford to upgrade.:p

:hilarious:

What's sad is I've actually cancelled most of my cable packages down to basic cable because I spend money on movies instead. Big 'ol fancy HDTV and I'm watching basic cable? Naw man, I'm watchin' blus! :scat: ... or discovery channel...

Besides.. I've been thrilled with the Panny Plasma.. SD channels look just like they would on a CRT so while they're not pristine they don't look nearly as crappy as they did on my old DLP

EDIT: forgot why I was posting:

Watched 2 more episodes of Tales From The Crypt, these were from Season 3 and 4 - "Easel Kill Ya" - probably one of the more awesome and sick ideas for an episode... A painter who has to keep killing to keep creating works of art to make money. "What's Cookin'" - Enter Christopher Reeve! He owns a restraunt that cooks squid exclusively. Enter the restraunts only staff member to start bringing steak into the business... well... maybe not the type of steak you're thinking. This is a great episode - really entertaining cannibal episode that plays on the old tale about people in the meat grinder being served to the public.

tonight i watched a classic that I've never seen before, The New York Ripper. It's on Blu-ray and I think I will be getting it. not sure why i didn't just blind buy it since it's got a great reputation. oh well, i'll know better next time.

i have failed

I didn't watch sh*t last night except colbert report before going to bed. It was a late practice and I've been running on sleep debt all week.

wel i decided to let my bride pick the movie for me/us to watch tonight. She chose The Frighteners which is a movie I enjoy but I wouldn't really consider it a horror flick. i guess maybe it is tho. there's no other genre i would put it in. Anyway, I still believe this movie has the coolest Reaper that is in any movie.

while i haven't failed yet, tomorrow will be tought. we have to clean the house in the morning for company coming tomorrow night, then a 2 year olds b-day to goto all afternoon and then groceries for the party and then the party starting at 7. i might make everyone that is here watch a horror movie so at least i'll get one in, haha.

well i managed to fit an hour long episode of Masters of Horror in today. I bought the Blu so I could have the episode called Imprint but I decided to watch Homecoming today. nifty concept but I wouldn't say it was great.

did they only do one season on blu? I have volumes 1-4

Imprint easily takes the cake as the best one IMO just because of the torture scene.. pretty sick!

Watched a classic tonight, The Unknown with Lon Cheney(1927, silent film) I have watched this movie alot but I always laugh at the end and I'm not exactly sure if it's a horror film but he was crazy, so... yeah...

damn, don't think i've seen that. I'll have to chek it out sometime. I think this week I'll be spending most my movie time watching the SAW films. I've only seen the first 2 and I can't image the others being too bad so. My week is planned. 1 down, 4 to go.
