As most of you know, I am a HUGE horror movie fan and with Halloween just around the corner I am thinking of trying something new. 1 horror movie for every day in October. I'm not talking about doing double features so you can have a day off, I'm talking about 1 a day. Anyone else interested in trying this. I know some people prolly don't have the library (or the time) that I do so it might be tough. If you are interested in trying then mark your spot in this thread and come back every day and update it. I can't believe i convinced my bride to do this with me, hahaha. If you miss a day, don't feel bad, keep updating when you watch.

Kinda f**ked up this year. A little late starting thanks to a trip to Florida for Halloween Horror Nights.

You know what... I think I'll give this a shot! I usually watch atleast one movie everyday anyways and Halloween is my favorite holiday, I just hope I have enough horror in my collection. :)

GIDDY-UP. it's on tomorrow. I got band rehearsal in the evening so i need to squeeze one in after supper or when I get home. gonna start digging out the flicks that i don't want to forget about.

Does tales from the crypt episodes count?

I do marathon Tales From The Crypt during october.. I have all 7 seasons :scat:

I usually will watch them in tandem 2 or 3 in a row

I'll probably be watching Grace tonight.... zombie babies are always good for october:) I already know I can't do one a night all month though, hats off to whoever does!

well i didn't get to watch Grace tonight because i kinda started late and my bride was heading to bed. she told me not to watch it without her, haha. so instead I opted for Gin gwai which is the original asian release of The Eye that Hollywood made with Jessica Alba. This one is much better.

I really didn't like either of those films for some reason... I was hoping the Eye would be better then the original, lol

I'm definitely watching something horror tonight, I'm just still not sure what yet.

Yo GB quick question, do you have Wolf with Jack Nicholson? if so, what do you think about the film? How about Frankenstein with De Niro?

Dude, you are soooo lucky. Grace was one of the worst movies that I've seen in some time - seriously. It could have actually been a short film, like 45 mins, if they cut out all the filler. Plus the dialogue looked like it was written by a 5 year old and the acting was just pathetic. I knew there was a reason I stopped watching indie films and this movie only made me remember.

As far as all the hype about the movie goes, it was waaay off. There were reports of two guys fainting in the theater during the premiere. After seeing that movie, I feel certain that they were hired to do that. There's nothing overly shocking, no original kills or gore, and really very little to speak of in terms of scary. Put this one on your long list this month GB!

ya i have them both on sd-dvd and i actually really liked them both. i found Jack's Wolf to be refreshing, brining in the "old-school" hind-legged walker which i LOVE like the original wolfman and the newer Dog Soldiers.

I'm still gonna give it a watch because alot of times it all depends on my mood weather i like something like this or not. if I'm in a silly mood and I find it laughable I may still enjoy it.

In typical fashion I started off with the beginning of the series.

"The Man Who Was Death"

Easily one of my favorite intro's to a "horror" tv series. Prison worker gone vigilante to punish those who do wrong only to find himself in the chair he switched on so many others. It really sets the tone for the rest of the series up until the end of it's run.

"And All Through the House"

I think the only thing I really like about this episode is the thought of a crazy serial killer stalking your house in a Santa outfit. I don't like the fact that this episode is a christmas one.. just out of place. Probably my least favorite episode.

Tales From The Crypt? You've never seen it?!

Oi. You friends from up north missed out on a great time for late night HBO back in the day. Perhaps we can make some arrangement where you can borrow the first season for awhile and see if you like it.

Fellow horror fans should never miss out on at least watching one episode of tales from the crypt. Not that it's scary more than just twisted, gory, and funny.. and some bewbage.
