Too many steelbooks (not a bad thing). I saw the sold out on the title and thought "how could I miss that" but then realized I did not miss it. I just forgot I ordered it

I had the same instance, my card was due to run out in the july, so i was worried about what would happen anyway with so many releases june/july. but they sent a new card last month.

I contacted customer service about changing my card details for items already preordered at the time - specifically the indiana jones steelbooks - and was told that they could not change an order once it was made, it would have to be cancelled and re-ordered/reprocessed.

And see this is the problem. That is very silly of Zavvi of to lock its own customers into their order. Banks change stuff all the time. Cards get stolen. Cards get lost or compromised. If a person has an order placed on a sold out item, it is very unfair to think they would lose their order to someone else just because the card info has changed.

Yeah i meant the info, but yeah well that part certainly sucks. I couldn't reorder the Indiana Jones set, which at the time i was pretty peeved about. The tarantino ones will make up for that though...

It also caused me to lose the white star trek, but luckily i managed to get it back when some went back on sale 2 weeks ago. I agree that it is a ridiculous way to treat orders though, since the majority of runs are limited and sell out fairly quickly

So it was them, my card was comprimised too recently and I have open orders with the old card. Zavvi said they can't update the payment for them, luckily it was for Indy and I don't think those will sell out

My transactions with zavvi usually get denied, and did so with roger rabbit. Just don't delay and get it taken care of when it happens. I imagine youd be ok.

This has happened to me on my White Star Trek zavvi order, managed to re order everything else, including Aladdin.

Indiana Jones is on old card.

After speaking to Zavvi they said that you will be prompted with an email after failed payment, this will allow you to select another method of payment. You are advised to respond ASAP as they will cancel the order after a certain amount of time!

I would highly recommend on the orders you know this will have some effect you check your email (including your junk folder) for a Zavvi email prompting change of payment method.

I have not had this occur yet, and I am on holiday come Star Trek White SB release. I will however use reception Wi fi to ensure I keep my copy =)

Thanks for that info. So I will not cancel my order and watch my email like a hawk when these r shipping out. I still dont see why they can't change there website so u can change ur method of payment if u have to for pre orders.

Yeah, I'm probably gonna have to cancel and reorder The Wicker Man off of them at some point, since I'm pretty sure I'll have switched to a new card by the time it comes out. Really would be preferable if they let you switch payment options like Amazon and others give you the option in doing.

On another note, is there any new information about the artwork for this release? Such as if the above is the final front cover and what the back or interiors will look like? Just curious since we already know of these details for other releases coming out around the same time or later.

I agree it would be good to get an update on the final cover art on this one. It's a bit odd that Zavvi choose to put this up for pre-order without any of this info being available. I guess it's not simply up to Zavvi to decide the release date and final artwork. A confirmation of the artwork could probably result in a few cancellations...

Yes, probably - but with stories of Zavvi randomly cancelling orders, even that is not a guarantee anymore

Well it was pretty much definite from the start was it not? Artwork is always subject to change, but if it's a proper mockup like this one, then that is probably how it will turn out. I just want to know when we will see the inside and back artwork and get more details on the embossing/debossing.

Just a thought, maybe it's too late but Could you set a mail redirection with the local post office? Here in Oz we can set this up for 1, 3 or 6 months. So everything posted to the old address gets delivered to the new one.
