Odd choice for the interior artwork as the sky seems to be quite empty. Wrecks friend at Zavvi seems to have a tendency to show people on the inside ...

I like back and inside artwork but once the disc on the inside Aladdin will be covered up and we'll just see princess jasmine looking at the disc lol

Overall I do like it alot but it could of been slightly better :p

The whole back and forth with artwork preference is such a funny thing.

I can remember seeing dozens of comments from members about how much they want "just a lamp" for a "classy look". and "don't put too much"... "don't make it too cluttered". So they put a lamp... and now we have people saying it's boring and a wasted opportunity for more cool Disney artwork.

Personally, I'm in the camp that wants more artwork. I don't think the front is too busy. I like a lot going on. More to look at. I really don't see the problem with it.

Bottom line... it's preposterous to think all the artwork on all these steelbooks will appeal to all collectors.

Let's just be thankful we are getting a glossy/embossed limited edition Aladdin Disney steelbook with nice interior artwork. :oohyeah:

You're right. Can't appeal to everyone. But they don't seem to have picked up on the suggestion to have the inside artwork feature the treasure chamber. That wasn't my suggestion, but I thought it was a brilliant idea.

I don't mind the front being busy if it's done well. The framing has improved, but the character art isn't very well done imo. But I guess there's enough people who just love that one. I don't see why Disney can't use some character art from the film itself, or use some of their (often) brilliant poster art. Obviously it's not the character designers who did the poster. But Disney's always had their own strategy, and I doubt anything we say will change that. (But I'll say it anyway.)

That said, this isn't the worst cover art Disney've ever done for one of their animated films, so I guess I'll get this steel anyway. Just hope they will put a bit more skill and creativity into the other Disney releases.

I also suggest the cave as inside or back art - since it's what starts the movie after all!

The character art has been a talking point for most people here - I don't know what happened to Aladdin on the cover haha!

Of course not, Flip, but it can be handy to voice suggestions here! It was certainly worth it with Black Swan where Zavvi repositioned Natalie Portman. It was t too big of a modification but shows that they do consider things.
