Mine apparently showed up today despite getting a email from them saying it was cancelled.(I have packages sent to a relative)

I looked at my bank account and had been charged. Looks like a mistake email on their part. They need to get it together I had a mini melt down when I saw the email.

can i ask a question you guys.?
this is directed to those who own some FS disneys...
first of all i do like the steelbook and its colors and i agree it is one of zavvi's best up to now, if not the best they made with WFRR...it has a lot of work in it compared to others.
BUT my question is, whats the base of comparison?
zavvi steelbooks or disney FS steelbooks...?
do you think it even comes close to FS disney quality? in terms of everything, steel quality contents weight printing quality...

I do have the BB ones, Disney's SB and the Viva Cases. Also have the Zavvi's Aladdin Excl.LE. is an awesome one, very beautiful. But believe me, it's a not even close quality..... in all aspects.

Unwrapped my Aladdin and watched it last night. I had to come back onto this thread and say... that was extremely entertaining. This movie is so much fun. What a quick witted and zany film. And man oh man, from beginning to end, the colors are rich and beautiful. Really enjoyed it and will definitely watch it again.

Same can be said about the steelbook. It's the only steelbook I've ever seen with that color. I call it "Royal Sapphire Pearl" because it is the exact same shade as a limited color Toyota offered on their 97-98 Supras, which looks blue at some angles and deep purple in other angles.

The gloss finish is far more smudge prone than the Pinocchio gloss. Totally different feel to it. Also, disc art is always nicer than a boring blue disc.

But anyway.. save for a couple small quibbles, I couldn't be much more pleased.

Overall, this Aladdin steel is a winner.

Amazed by the colors too. Tried to make some photos of it, but my camera can't handle the purple: it keeps turning out blue LOL. I guess it's extra special

One design flaw (yes, I'll call it a flaw) is the way light reflections are painted on the letters. The letters have a shiny gold finish on their own, and those painted effects just break that illusion. It would have looked much better if they had removed those details and gone for clean letters. But this is a case of using existing artwork that was designed for a different purpose.

Cannot believe I was too late ordering this one... hope the prices on E-bay won't be too high, because I definitely want this steelbook :)

maybe already answered but does it content the original text of the song arabian nights with the "cut off your ears when they don't like your face" line?

I watched it. I can confirm that it does indeed have the original line.... it even still says "it's barbaric, but hey, it's home" right after

I am really anxious about the order I placed when Zavvi briefly had in it stick again a while back as I expect to receive it soon... The pics look amazing and I just hope it comes in good condition... Keeping my fingers crossed

The review on Blu-ray.com confirms no. :(
Though, maybe just maybe, the US disc will have the original line.

I'm pretty sure the line was, "where its flat and immense and the heat is intense, its barbaric but hey its home."

Though it was last week when I watched this

that's confusing, gues i have to check it out myself. thanks anyway ^^
