As a newbie to the site, i dont conside you all moaning gits!!!

The site is informative and for a new collector a must. Im lucky thatmi placed my order early and look forward to adding this steelbook to my growing collection.

To all of you keep up the good work, i have recommended this site to a lot of mates who are also collectors

Considering it took a few weeks for 3,000 copies of Roger Rabbit to sell out this recent frenzy of Aladdin doesn't make sense unless lots of profiteers or speculators are involved. How can 5K copies be sold out less than a week?

Just look at the number of thanks and responses to this thread, that tells you all you need to know ;)

It is amazing but not surprising. One word - Disney! Very popular with steelbook collectors, Disney collectors and also the general public with fond memories and children!!!

Glad I jumped on this early on! I had no intention of ever collecting steelbooks, but some of the films coming out soon.. I don't think I'll be able to resist! :)

It's possible that some people don't really consider Roger Rabbit a Disney classic, thus the demand might not be as high. Aladdin on the other is considered a Disney classic, and considering what Disney classic (e.g. Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Pinocchio, etc.) steelbooks are going for on eBay, it makes a lot of sense since demand is much higher and people don't want to pay a premium when it hits ebay.

I don't think that Roger Rabbit is a Disney film at all! Its distributed by Touchstone pictures & produced by Spielberg's Amblin company! If it is Disney, it must be distant relative as its nowhere to be found on the J-card!

DOOMSDAY!!

Roger Rabbit is absolutely a Disney film. It's was uncredited as one of the production companies for the movie (that's why you probably don't see any Disney logos). But if you go to Disneyland there's a ride called Roger Rabbit and a whole land called Toontown.

DOOMSDAY!!

Touchstone is an imprint of Disney which was created after production of the film The Black Hole. Content-wise, the film was seen to be a little too mature and perhaps risqué for Disney's 'family entertainment' image and so Touchstone was created partly as a safety net lest the films failure reflect poorly on Disney's image.

-EDIT-

Ninja'd big time!

DOOMSDAY!!

Released by Disney under their Touchstone Pictures brand which they established in 1984. I'll take your word that it doesn't mention Disney on the packaging though, I'm sure you've sent plenty of copies of this ;)

Just deleted more posts about ebay despite my recent requests. Additional posts about ebay, scalpers, and the like in this thread will result in infractions for those that continue to ignore these warnings.

Thanks.

Mine must have been one of them. My apologies. Didn't realize I was out of bounds. I will surely keep this in mind.

What I really meant to say was.. I think Aladdin is more popluar than Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and that is why it sold out even more quickly.

Cheers :)

Yes I would have to agree with you on that point. This is a beautiful SB !!

Have a nice day.
