Well, looks like I missed out on this.was away from home last week, and never realised it was up for pre-order.tbh thought it would sell out quick, but not as quick as it did.my own fault though, for not checking the thread on here :(

Keep checking back, particularly on Fridays. Zavvi often puts canceled orders back up within a few weeks of the steelbooks launch. They did so just this week with Star Trek's white cover edition being available again for several hours.

I can show you another artwork
Better, shimmering, splendid!
Tell me, Disney, now when did
You last let the fans decide?

Now that's an overall design I could get behind.

I thinking thinking the inside could be either the treasure room of the cave of wonders, or possibly a full shot of the palace...

^^ If it was closer to the original Arabian source material i'd probably be interested (a book called "101 Nights" or something?, and i think that's where the word "abarcadabra" comes from)

but nah, i dont really like musicals and Disney movies are essentially the cartoon equivalent.

It's funny. I don't like most live-action musicals. Random people bursting out in song looks a bit more plausible in a hand-drawn world. (I was born in cartoon land)

Great stuff, marillion45!

Although, I think the cave by itself on the front could be pretty cool.. The cave, the dunes and perhaps some dark silhouettes. Then the inside of the cave (the treasure like in your suggestion) for the inside artwork. With Disney, I like the idea of character silhouettes against a detailed, hand-painted background as cover art. It just gives it a cleaner, more serious look.

I would love to see some concept art as cover art as well. For Alice in Wonderland they could use some of Mary Blair's powerful pastel work. So many great possibilities that Disney will never explore!

Me too!:scat:

I would love to get a lot of Disney steelbooks, but I'm not a huge fan of this movie or the steel so I'll wait out for the movies I really love! :D
