Scuttlebutt has been for a while (with additional new info) that he never approved the 4k. That there was a new master used for the 3d which had aggressive dnr for the 3d which was then also used for the 4k which shouldn't have been. And if the Scuttlebutt on Titanic is anything to go by that's looking to be amazing. Will be waiting for the reviews before I bite. Nothing personal but James Cameron scrubbed all the grain from the blu-ray and unless it looks like the film I saw in the cinema, I"m not biting. I'm holding on to my CAV laserdisc box set.
YesDo we know if the special edition is gonna be included in 4k?
Awesome. Does it say that in the info you posted. I was looking but it is a giant ass wall of text lol.Yes
Both versions of Aliens will be included on both 4K UHD and Blu-ray.

You can still preorder this one and cancel it later down the road if steelbook gets announced.
However steelbook maybe released late way after amaray... no guarantees there.

Feel like we've been waiting an age for this, and there's still almost another 2 months to go
Doesn't appear to be.... No sign of a trade wide release anyway. I wonder if a premium retailer might be in a position to knock something up in the future? I'd even settle for a discless edition at this rate. Are we genuinely not getting a steel for this?
Same. I’m hoping for some boutique to pick this up and give us a steel. Fingers-crossed.Doesn't appear to be.... No sign of a trade wide release anyway. I wonder if a premium retailer might be in a position to knock something up in the future? I'd even settle for a discless edition at this rate.
