Am I missing something, or is the collection manager dropping hints

So I went into to update my collection and all of a sudden I am seeing dozens of US steelbooks that I have never heard about in the collection manager. Stuff like North by Northwest and Patton and Taxi Driver and my wallet is screaming mercy.

So I am thinking maybe there is another Best Buy WB line coming out or something so I go check the news, I check the first 3 pages here and not a single mention of all these steelbooks.

Are they trying to see if we are paying attention, dropping hints or are there a ton of new US steelbooks coming out?

They're digibooks, digipacks, etc. If you use "Ninja View" you can choose "Edition" and then select to see only steelbooks, digibooks, etc.

I rarely put any hints/tips etc. inside the CM for titles not yet released. ;) Closest thing to that is when given the steelbooks early we may put the scans and info in there early but its always something you know thats coming out. :)

Oh when viewing your entire collection, you can also choose to filter by type ... when doing that just type in digibook for instance and you see only your digibooks ... vice versa steelbook etc.

I believe you are confusing digibooks for steel books in the collection manager OP....

EDIT: got beat by two minutes by the mob above, LOL.

Are they not the Digibooks which are being added recently?

Ahhhh that could be it man that makes life so confusing though as its hard to tell the difference between digibooks on the collection manager and say a steelbook (you can't click into them and they don't tell you what they are other than country) when some might look a like and the manager doesn't tell you if its a digibook or a steelbook. And why having digibooks in there but not G1 steelbooks, too me those are two different things and should have their own manager where as G1's are still steelbooks.

My wallet just let out a sigh of relief if that's true.

Correction I guess you can click on them and that will take you to the thread they are in reference too but that is a lot of work for each title. you can see digibook once its added to your collection by expanding but then you have to add them first but I can't figure out how to delete them once added because I added a second toy story 3 (wasn't aware they did a US metalpack and ironpack according too cp)>

What do you mean you can't see that it's a digibook? When you search for a title it's right there next to release date and region, as Drum posted above.

ps. G1 blu-ray steels are in there. Just not DVD steels. Thats an open debate but a lot of time they use the same art from the DVD for the BD steel ... and with as much work as it is keeping up with all the current releases plus adding new features and items to the CM I think DVD steels will just have to remain on the backburner for a long time.

There will be more ease in regards to splitting them up in the future. But while entering in a bunch of titles it may just be easier to use the "Ninja View" and select "Edition Type" this way they arent all mixed in. That's what I do.

Dizzy, if you're not seeing the new field as shown by Drum above, make sure to clear your browser cache and reload the application.

It seems to me that you are viewing an older version of the application and it is still cached on your PC.

Hopefully the enhancement that we did over the past weekend makes it clearer what edition you are looking at. :)

I was on the same boat earlier today, cleared my cache and voila! Everything looking good again :oohyeah:

well good to know, I will clear my cache and breathe a huge sigh of relief because if those were all steelbooks I would be in trouble and my wallet would be crying.

I still say I'd rather have G1 steels added before digibooks but then again I own one digibook and 67 g1 steelbooks haha

Well, I think we should enter all BR's first since this is Bluraysteelbooks.com:hilarious:
