Not bad. As he said, slightly disappointed with the steelbook pressing. Would have looked class with some bossing.
Lol, we'll not doubt see a 4k of the Directors cut soon enough as well. I think this OG version has sold fairly well; Warner will probably shamelessly release that too.

Fair play to Keith. Irish Amazon strikes again. Looks as though Irish folks ordering from Amazon get these sets ahead of anyone else now. Did you get yours early too @paulboland ?
Keith is based in UK  and he likely ordered from either HMV or Zavvi to get delivery 3 days early

I cancelled my order of the SteelBook a good few months ago
I pre ordered the 4K amaray with slipcover release instead and got delivery from Amazon UK on release date Monday February 24

Not played the UHD disc yet to comment on the transfer or with other physical media releases that was released since November 2024

I have been dealing with more important issues at the moment than watching films

Ouch that steelbook looks bad. Lovely finish on the slip though. Why couldn’t WB spot gloss the Constantine slip image like that

It's really annoying that there is no remastered Blu-ray Disc and only the theatrical version is included. The Steelbook is unfortunately quite cheaply finished without spot gloss or embossing.

What finish did Warner use for the slipcase? I can see spot gloss, but there are also metallic effects on the film title and the small dots. Could someone here take detailed photos to capture the effect?

Scroll back on 'last Steelbook purchased' in the Steelbook section. I posted some there a few weeks ago.
Slipcase is very good.

Edit. This link might take you there.

Thank you, I have just looked at the pictures. Unfortunately, it's difficult to see the metallic effect on the slipcase in the pictures. Can you confirm this or somehow capture it in a photo?

Was thinking the same. That made me cancel my pre-order. I decided to go digital at a bargain price with both versions included. No interest in owning a poorly designed steelbook with cheap finishes. Though, I may reconsider if there was a better steel in the future.

There's a better steel in the past, get the old version. I doubt we're going to get anything better.

I wouldn't mind the slip to go with my japanese directors cut blu ray steel, but probably won't bother unless there's a massive price drop, which seems unlikely. Hopefully a director's cut UHD will arrive in the near future

Theatrical Cut >DC. The Director's Cut was not the version that won Best Picture.
