Anyone know if the slipcover will be wide enough to hold the booklet? It appears not, judging by the picture :(

Choi, please confirm that the 3 steelbooks in the Tri-pack will each have the same exact matching numbers.
(1-300)

From Choi's most recent announcement it sounds like only the tripack itself will be numbered (1-300), then any individual steelbook would be numbered 301-1000. The steelbooks contained in the tripack won't be numbered.

I guess I will go with one of the lenticulars as tripack does not offer something special like Star Trek Blufans tripack (the picture they formed together). So Type B or C for me but not yet decided. Was hoping something more special from Kimchi actually. It looks like a normal Bluray boxset to me...

The package artwork for the three pack edition is nice looking but... seriously, I don't like these multi-pack steelbook editions which are selling you IDENTICAL STEELBOOKS with a minor difference (the lenticulars/slips). Why not sell a pack with all three lenticulars and some sort of easy way to pick which one goes in front? The other two can be put inside the steelbook packaging. Sell THAT for a few bucks more or so... and don't make people even consider buying the essentially same release for $100 or more.

dear choi,

can you maybe find out for us if only the outer box of the tri-pack will be numbered, or do all 3 steelbooks come with the numbered card as usual?

Its already been decided. Its the white version.Green is obviously better but the white might have been less expensive for them to produce.

my 2 unasked cents

white box with a two colors printing:

• Less expensive if there are just two Pantone colors printed at the same time, a golden and a red one
(1 step total / average finish)

• expensive if there's a golden hot foil print with a brand new cliché (=$$$) plus a red Pantone color
(2 printing steps, one for the red & one for the hot foil / best finish)

• In the middle if they switch hot foil with a golden cold foil print, as cold foil is "printed" at the same time of Pantone colors
(1 step total with the right printer / good quality finish)

So that's not all about the number of colors but much more about steps and materials (and possible golden foils will make the difference in this case)

:D

All of the steelbooks will be numbered 1-1000 for each of the 3 styles as described in the OP.
Kimchidvd will hand pick the numbers 1-300 for each of the 3 slips to be included in the Tri-pack.
I just want to make sure when they select the numbers to go into the Tri-pack,that they do match up.For example,it wouldn't be as coordinated if the numbers you get inside your purchased Tri-pack is 24,240 &97.It would be proper if your numbers inside for example would be 44,44 & 44 and so on...
