I’m sticking with criterion collection. Not feeling this art

Is the movie actually good?

Don't want to bother if it's overhyped artsy fartsy bs.
Definitely not artsy fartsy, there is a scene with a lot of a woman screaming so if you have connected neighbours on either side like me, keep the volume control handy so they don't think you're up to anything shifty.

Ordered this along with dogman, which I've been fancying for a while. £46.50 shipped for the 2 isn't too bad tbf.

I watched X & Maxxxine back to back last night and tbh the quality of picture by Capelights mastering is pretty poor. I know the films have that old 70s & 80s B Movie feel and filter but they are still pretty poor. And annoyingly the Betty White quote at the start of Maxxxine is in German (understandably) and you can’t even translate it with the English subs which is f**king stupid imo. So I’ll be weary about ordering from Capelight again. If it was Arrow or Second Sight remastering the 4K you know it’s going to look f**king excellent especially SS so imo Capelight need to step up their game. But also the finishes of the steelbooks. X should’ve been spot glossed and Maxxxine should’ve been on the front too

Plus I wana see the full art on this. But so far Criterion is probably the best release for this which is hard for me to say because I’m primarily a Steelbook collector and would prefer it in steel form

It was overhyped but still pretty good. Definitely not artsy fartsy. I hate that bs also.

It's like a movie of 2 halves.

First half, think of a non Hollywood romanticised Pretty Woman.
Second halve is completely crazy and actually pretty damn funny.
