Got my DL today. Not the best lentis. No where near deadpool wolverine clarity levels for example
That's because they still insist on DARK images, when lenticulars work BEST when there's plenty of light and/or enough contrast/differences in the source images. If you don't believe this, look back on all of the lenticulars you have and you'll see it (and once seen...Got mine too. It's not bad, but Deadpool Wolverine was particularly good tbf.
).Oh yeah I’m not retarded. I know it’s because the images are so dark anyway. But just saying they ain’t as good as some previous lentis of theirs especially in the new MCU wave. They’ve all been pretty much great so far. This was the same with 3D effects on cinema and further back with good versus bad 3D visual effects in movies, where the poor ones were EXTREMELY dark (to somehow cover imperfections or diminish the level of them seen by viewers)... until AVATAR (the first) come out and show them IT CAN BE DONE PROPERLY, IF you know how!
The SL is very nice though. I quite like the image on the rear of the DL but the lenti is just not clear enough to make it work, a shame.Got my DL today. Not the best lentis. No where near deadpool wolverine clarity levels for example
Never said anything bad about you... au contraire, I have a VERY big appreciation of all you do and say here on this forum for us... I was just merely stating my opinion vis-a-vis them lenticulars...Oh yeah I’m not retarded. I know it’s because the images are so dark anyway. That was the ant-man and the wasp steel (2nd film), wasn't it?I was under the impression the back of the steelbook had spot matte on the characters but it’s actually full gloss. Swear the early photos showed that and I thought it was a strange decision.
Ah right yeah. So I wasn’t going mad. Just wrong concept artThat was the ant-man and the wasp steel (2nd film), wasn't it?
Thought so, and, yeah, that one does look strange.Ah right yeah. So I wasn’t going mad. Just wrong concept art
I think Deadpool & Wolverine slips were pretty cool and the steelbook as well. Also, The Hobbit releases, both boxes, DL and SL, have been amazing. Regarding Antman, the SL slip is pretty cool and the DL is perhaps too dark, but it doesn't look bad. The steelbook should be brighter but the picture was an excellent choice; the back, however, horrible. So, on the whole, Blufans have been doing a pretty good job: their editions are still really cool and that's why people still pay a lot to have them despite not having discs. Was bored enough to open this today, such a meh release. Blufans aren't what they once were
Agree with this, Manta's Moon knight now that was a meh release but even if not the best, this one's fine. I think they nailed The hobbit and of course it's the one I chose to skip, really great looking set.I think Deadpool & Wolverine slips were pretty cool and the steelbook as well. Compared to Blufans at their peak (releases like the OG Guardians of the Galaxy or Thor Ragnarok) there's a clear downgrade in overall feel and quality
I agree. Beautiful steelbook and slips that was.Their Doctor Strange MOM was pretty great wasn't it?
