I think Tig Notaro added some nice dry wit to her character and was a good addition to the movie as her pilot role, although not the greatest actor by all means I do think she was best for that part. There was a lot of underlying meaning and references to this movie, maybe a second watch is what's needed for some.
I guess some folks just don't like flare, creativity and a sense of dramatics, maybe they should attend more golf fan based functions instead. o_O

It is what it is... plain and simple... a Zombie flick, accept it as such, grab your bowl of popcorn and enjoy the ride. It wasn't a great movie by all mean but it was still good and I was duly impressed at what Snyder had created. I think he did a wonderful job. I'm going in for my third watch today. :D

Only saw the first 30 minutes and was not able to finish. I thought it was meh, and the cgi helicopter pilot was a total mismatch for the movie.... But hey, adding her was the '2021-political-correct-way-to-kill-a-movie', a woman with male characteristics, replacing a male actor who got me2'ed :(

Man, Covid-19 really killed the movie business. After 'G vs K', Mortal Kombat and now this.... I'm holding my breath for what to come but it doesn't look good :(

Those 2 Hollywood Action movies you mention (and this) are no different to big blockbuster movies that come out every year. Mortal kombat was much better than most video game adaptations anyway and GvK was probably saved by the pandemic because they had more time to work on those stunning visuals. Again people using other excuses to discredit Snyder. It’s so clear

which actor got replaced?

[EDIT] nvm just checked its Chris d'elia but I never liked that guy anyway dont think hes funny and neither is the ''female;'' they replaced him with (if you wanna call that a female :shipped:)

Although that actor wasn’t great she was miles better that what d’elia would of been plus there’s a reason he was not in it, he basically became his character from season 2 of You in real life. The guys a scumbag

Lol what "rule" you talking about?

That we don’t talk about fight club

you said the plot was pointless or a waste of time therefore so was the movie. Just because their plan don’t go to plan it don’t make it a pointless movie. And my example was something like coen brother films follow a Similar outline with pointless plots that end knowhere but are hugely enjoyable. If anything, what happens in this film is much more believable (if there was zombies) because it would all go to sh!t.

David Ehrlich of Indiewire: Snyder has been described as one of the most polarizing directors of modern cinema.
Snyder's "name alone is enough to launch a thousand angry tweets, and the most passionate writing about his work is exclusively found in the comment sections of websites like this one.
Snyder's critics really seem to hate him, and Snyder's fans really seem to hate his critics ... Is Snyder a master or a hack?
A misunderstood myth-maker, or a meathead with a movie camera

This guy is right when he says polarizing, talk about a huge difference of opinion in this thread.:shipped:

Got a question though, considering this is a netflix original does that mean it won't get picked up for a premium release?
Has there ever been a Netflix original that has gotten a premium release?

Agree to disagree then, because Coen films are far from that to me and I'd never even dream of comparing their work to this garbage lol.

I never compared the film to theirs, I find them far more superior in general compared to Snyder. But he’s great at action, no doubt there. I mean with films where the plot goes nowhere. A good example is burn without reading (Which is why I used coens name). I wouldn’t think (if I enjoyed a film) and then the plot goes nowhere that it writes off the whole film for me.
But then I suppose if I wasn’t really enjoying a film to start with, carried on with it and then it goes nowhere then yeah it would annoy me. I get you there. I suppose that’s happened to me before.

but Anyway...

Haha love that guy! I noticed tons of plot holes whilst watching the movie, but apparently still missed some lol. Such sloppy writing... Snyder should honestly be embarrassed, especially after all the the sly digs he gave Whedon over his JL rewrites. I've genuinely loved everything Zack has done up to now, so can't get my head around how he even managed to make such a dire film. He's certainly set himself a lot of cleaning up to do in the unnecessary sequel that's planned, but good for those that want one of course!

P.S. The comments on that video are killing me :hilarious:

@Noodles there are some films where these videos point out things and you're like "ahhh that didn't really make sense, did it?!". This isn't one of those times for me lol. Didn't make sense as I was watching and so even if I tried to switch off and enjoy it, I couldn't. Even the visuals were off with the dopey depth of field shots.

Even though there were tonnes of plot holes and stupid/pointless things in it and the character development for a 2 and a half hour movie was garbage, I quite enjoyed this movie.

Let me just say, things that annoyed me, even though yes, it is a complete make believe zombie movie...
- a helicopter that size burns between 20 and 30 gallons per hour...
- $2mill in $100 bills weighs about 2,000kg...
- can no way in hell a zeus and his horse descend a huge building and catch up to a helicopter...
- Bautista can barely move a mattress, but can flip a casino table?
- no one could save Chambers, like literally, no one was bothered...
- the time it took Vanderohe to change into a zombie after getting bit... like effin' ages... not to mention he isn't affected by the nuclear bomb...
- the whole point Tanaka wanted them in was to get a zombie head, not bothered about the money but has sent numerous teams their to try and get it...
- the whole restricted airspace thing...

- did Bautista's daughter's mate survive?? answer: no one actually cares...

ok, enough, I feel like I'm ranting

Thought this was absolutely horrible. Besides the plot holes and the incredibly bad dialogue, it was far too drawn out.
What's the point of spending about 50 minutes on character development if they're badly written characters who you don't care about anyway?
