Thanks for the info @cooey

Just one question mate. In regards to the transfer ( doesn’t affect me, I missed out on the GB for BP) if people transfer to Avengers IW and are guaranteed a spot for black panther, dors that in turn mean if most people transfer, which I can’t see why not, will that limit the open GB for Avengers? I.e a bloodbath?

Or am I over thinking it?

Cheers
exactly my thought,I don't see how we would bae able to grab a copy, pretty much everyone will be interested in transferring;...

Everybody who purchased a copy of Black Panther from the group buy already had a reserved place in line for Infinity War.
This doesn't change anything.

the principle still remains,
I'm pretty sure that most of those who didn't order BP won't be able to get a copy ..(and now I hope the photos are relevant )
I don't see why is that those who have ordered BP should automatically be safe for IW :/

Because our money and contribution has been held for a while now. Three options were given and one of them being an incentive to transfer over to IW. It's also a lot less hassle for the hosts who do all the work for us. This way the money we've already had tied up in BP doesn't need to move again (unless u want it to... but far less movement and work if people are happy).

sorry but that doesn't make any sense to me in itself.
I guess some will see this "transfer" as a little and normal gesture from blufans, but I ca't see it other than a huge gift personally since I already know my chances to get a copy are really low.

It's not a gift from Blufans. This is a gesture from HDN.

@cooey Are you sure there won't be any licensing issues with IW too ? I think it will be right for them to figure out this first, and then give the green light for group buys.

The license for IW has already been approved, which is why IW is coming before Black Panther

Not at all. There will still be a GB for IW and at the minute nothing has changed with the quantities.

As per my post in the Black Panther thread -

Official update for all Black Panther group buy participants -

Official update for all group buy participants -

The licensing agreement for Black Panther, for unknown reasons, still has not been resolved and because of this Infinity War will now be being released first (roughly early December time). The licensing agreement for Black Panther is looking to be completed around November time but because of the other releases (infinity War, Greatest Showman, Three Billboards), Black Panther will not ship until January 2019 at the earliest.

Infinity War will ship with the same editions (1/4 slip + Box, One Click, DL, SL and full slip)

Group Buy members, we have a couple of options for you -

1. Transfer
Your Black Panther request will automatically be transferred to the same edition to that of Avengers: Infinity War. You will then be guaranteed a spot for Black Panther, which will be charged for again later on in the year (or potentially January 2019)

2. Refund
You can cancel your Black Panther request and be refunded. Please note that should you change your mind afterwards we cannot allow you to repurchase Black Panther. At this time there will not be a further GB for it (however this may change although not guaranteed)

3. Wait it out
Wait for Black Panther to be released. If you decide to wait it out, as a thank you we will enter you into a HDN sponsored prize draw.

The official GB for Avengers: Infinity War won't be live until November.

I will be sending this as a PM to all participants tomorrow too with the relevant instructions.
Hey @cooey , does it still stand that BP buyers will have first pick at the correlating edition of IW if we wait it out?

Hundred times better than the WWA steelbook and people are still complaining...
Only have a couple of BF steels myself, but the finish in hand is always so bright, vibrant and stunningly beautiful that even my relucatance to liking group/busy images has been almost squashed here - that front has won me over big time. So much so, am glad there have been issues with Black Panther as now I’m guaranteed a spot for the better movie AND steel(in my opinion of course, though loving both and anything MCU anyway...)

Can’t wait for this.
A beautiful set might almost make me forget how Disney/MCU dicked us all on the cropped image for IW.....no fullscreen, IMAX ratio really ticks me off, still...grr....but I digress.
Beautiful steelbook front - glad I open mine and migh have to get a new stand for this steel to be displayed. Loving it.

Transfer option sounds perfect for me sir.
but thanks for the hard work behind the scenes and providing choices for all us collectors :)

Personally think this is an amaing outcome for an unexpected mess. Way more than could be expected. Many places would just refund customers in this instance and be done with it, it the extra lengths both BF and HDN have gone to are above and beyond and they should be commended for their efforts.

hi all. Any GB available to get one copy of these editions?
I didn't buy the BP...
Cheers
Group buy will be open as normal, but it may be harder to get hold of one as the Black Panther group buy participants have first refusal on these.

Don’t want to cause any offence here, but I don’t particularly like this ‘if you buy this steelbook you may not particularly want, you’re guaranteed a copy of a future steelbook that you do want’ policy. End of the day, both Black Panther and Infinity War were going to sell out, so I don’t believe an extra incentive for those who brought BluFans Black Panther should of been put in place.

I’m one of the few who enjoyed the WWA of Black Panther enough not to want to buy the BluFans edition, but really want the Infinity War steelbook to go with the other two. It seems that because of my choice not to buy Black Panther I’ve now limited my chances of getting the steelbook I REALLY want.

Still- hopefully manage to get a place in this group buy! Again, no offence meant with my rant above.

Maybe it is not too hard to get a copy of the open GB because nearly all of the BP GB have choosen the transfer option. So i am curious how this turns out.

Unfortunately, I’m think it’s the opposite.

Say for instance if HDN had 700 of each edition available in total; out of that 700, that’s now shortened drastically owing to all the people who have transferred their Black Panther purchase to the Infinity War steelbook- HDN will have a set allocation, and out of that allocation, those who have first picks from the other Group Buy will be reducing the quantity available to non-Black Panther purchasers.
