I just noticed the original series is coming out on Blu-ray as well this December. I can't be bothered to create a thread, as I don't think I'll be buying it.
There were 480p 4:3 versions released on Apple in 2020, and same ones only 1080p upscale on HBO Max in 2021, which is what will probably be on these BDs, and even though the CGI shots look sharper - as when they released DVDs, they just zoomed in on the 4:3 shots for wide-screen, making them fuzzy - the rest of the show is in a more yellowish color grade again, and cut back to 4:3. It was shot in wide-screen, and I never watched the TV broadcast versions, so have no 'nostalgia' for them or anything.
Plus they won't include the TV movies or Crusade spin-off anyway, so I'm sitting with my DVDs. At least until I see the actual comparisons. If they're in HD and widescreen, then I'll be more enticed.
