Seen once when first released at the cinema and have absolutely no desire to revisit it. Nicholas Cage was hopelessly miscast.

If this had been the original 1992 version with Harvey Keitel, I'd have been all over it.

Hope the steelbook's better than the movie.............doubt it somehow........probably a poor steelbook for a poor movie......

I love this film. It's way better than the original in my opinion. But this will have to top the lenticular slip that I already have.

That sound you hear is zavvi scraping the bottom of the barrel :rofl:
Firstly, it's the sound of Lionsgate scraping. Secondly, if the bottom of your barrel contains Werner Herzog films it sounds like you opened the barrel upside down. ;)

Agree. Some people still don't get that Zavvi is a retailer. They don't make steelbooks, or decide which ones get made.

Also, an FYI for those who a dismissing this film as a poor remake: The "bad lieutenant" was tacked on by the studio against Herzog's wishes. It's not meant to be compared to the 1992 film.

Totally enjoyed it without having seen the original.This was highly praised by the critics as well scoring a remarkable 87% on rottentomatoes.His best rated film in the last 7 years.
